hoverfly art. got a macro lens coming soon so hopefully the iq will step up although I do like this effect anyway and i's not bad for a manual focus slow lens shot
Fairy lights surely must be easier on the stomach than tea, but perhaps without the caffeine.
Approximately 5 cm/ 1.97 inches side to side.
In January 2022 I asked for help, and a Flickr support hero removed both of my accounts from the Explore algorithm. I feel more relaxed and sincere.
Life has kept me busy lately, so I've had no time to be online, and now we're heading out of town to see family. So I will see you in just over a week :)
Or an owl at least. Obviously not wild but a good test for my new lens the sigma 500mm f4 sport in bad lighting conditions and coming towards the camera. Taken at the British wildlife centre, Sussex. I'm not sure what is attached but I assure you it is flying with no assistance lol.

It’s not over yet.

Dew, bokeh balls, and nature make me happy.

...with mostly bokeh bling! I love bokeh, I admit apologetically. And with lights covered by yellow-gold transparent paper and this Laowa lens focusing so closely and magnifying the tiny wavy lines, these bokeh balls just sort of happen ;-)
Laowa 60mm f/2.8 2x macro lens. About 2inches/.5cm width of frame.
About f/4 aperture.
Plus, it is raining! Yippee!
"How much better is silence; the coffee cup, the table. How much better to sit by myself like the solitary sea-bird that opens its wings on the stake. Let me sit here for ever with bare things, this coffee cup, this knife, this fork, things in themselves, myself being myself."
— Virginia Woolf (The Waves)
This is one of the wee hyacinth blooms I carefully cut. We started with three bulbs in a plastic bag purchased at the local grocery store.
The 2-inch/5.08-cm tall hand-made vase I found at Etsy and ordered; the idea came from virtual friend Elisa Liddell Elisafox22 in Scotland.
Upon my request, a Flickr support hero removed both of my accounts from the Explore algorithm. I feel freer in this time of covid.
Just breathe.
Bokeh balls are all natural. Not manipulated. Truly. I feel some energy returning after dashing out to capture sunset beauty.
And a male Red-wing Blackbird looking secondary to the photo. To accommodate the backlight and morning sunlight, the (unsaturated) bright hues dominate his bars of red and gold.
Don't worry, dear RWB. The maple leaves will fade and fall. You and your family and friends seem to have returned for the winter. Good to see you!

Fog and sunlight with a belly shot using a handy elbow tripod after we moved here. We have had lots of fog lately, but not much sunlight.
This is about as shot, and as I look outside at wind and blowing rain, this cheers me. Change happens ;-)
Playing with a vintage (flapper?) purse owned by my great-grandmother, with rare sun from the window.
Cropped only. This Laowa lens magnifies by two and sometimes bumps the object I’m trying to capture.
Thanks for looking.
A first for me. believe it or not I had to manually focus as for some reason my lens is off focussing so I am even more chuffed about this. I will be putting another up tomorrow side on in flight but just want to give this some justice by itself.
Now that we've re-potted the anemone plant, the roots have more room and a new bud has formed. Love these plants and blooms. And they surely thrive and seem hardy.
Perhaps. Spent too long in frog’s view; not great for the L5/S1 ;) Must find my hot pad.
Thanks for looking, for your faves, and for your comments.
