Hive being played in a tent at 6,900 ft. in Yellowstone Park. The temperature had cooled to around 25º that evening and it was lightly snowing. I had a crushing headache from a combination of dehydration and the altitude. I still won!

HUGE thanks to all the volunteers who plan and run the BoardGameGeek convention each year! Jeff and I had a fantastic time.

Every year in mid-November, Jeff and I attend a board gaming convention called BGG in Dallas, Texas. For us, it's a chance to catch up with gaming friends, make new friends and play some games. I find that each year, it becomes more about the people and less about the games. I do a lot of livetweeting from my gaming acct: twitter.com/BGGgirl.

Feel free to scoop any for personal use or to promote the convention; a photo credit would be appreciated when possible (either tag me, link to @BGGgirl on Twitter, or "Photo: Debbie Ridpath Ohi" etc.). Because I took a LOT of photos and also have to dive into work catch-up, I am unable to fulfill individual requests (e.g. "Could you please send me that photo you took of me on Saturday"); it's why I'm uploading high res versions to Flickr.

Please don't tag people unless you're sure they won't mind being tagged.

Meanwhile, I'm already counting down the days until next year's BGG convention!! You can find out more about BGG events at boardgamegeek.com/bggcon and the website/community at boardgamegeek.com/

This set includes photos I took during the recording of The Dice Tower podcast at the BoardGameGeek convention in Nov/2013. I missed photographing Alan Moon's segment because I was laughing too hard.

Wooden Ships & Iron Men. It was Bob, Dave, and Alex as the French against Scott, Rachel, and Eric as the British. This is just about the end of the battle.
