Perhaps you remember my latest tessellation "Blocks" using a square grit and a few diagonals. It reminded of an older idea of mine, so I refolded that in a bigger grid (1:32) and a bigger paper (34cm) and that's why it's called "Big Blocks".
Probably not the first one who had had this idea, but I discovered it by myself ;-)
You can change the motive by changing the position of the dark triangles. I like this tessellation the way it is now, so I will fold another to this stage and add more creases to that one, because what I had in mind is not yet realized ;-)

Main engine (diesel) of an old drop forge in Solingen, Germany. The drop forge to produce brutes for scissors was in use 1886-1986. Today you can still buy scissors which are made there with the original drop forge in the museum of the LWL (Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe).
Hauptantriebsmaschine der Gesenkschmiede Hendrichs in Solingen. Die Gesenkschmiede war von 1886 bis 1986 in Betrieb zur Produktion von Scherenrohlingen. Noch heute kann man dort Scheren kaufen, die in der Original Druckpresse per Gesenkdruckverfahren hergestellt wurden. Museum des LWL (Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe).

The 1963 Impala featured rectilinear styling with an engine-turned aluminum rear taillight panel surrounded by a chrome border on SS models.
