Really pretty
This was my first road bike and started my love for Bianchi's. She's a second hand Bianchi Via Nirone. She did me very proud and cemented my love for cycling.
My singlespeed B.U.S.S. I built this up with Joe Young wheels. We settled on Phil Wood hubs and Mavic 719's. The fork is a Surly unit. Tomac Tenacsious-D bars. Thomson stem. Chris King aheadset. Avid brakes rule. Surly tensioner with built in beer opener. Race Face Turbine 180 cranks. The freewheel is some too-expensive-but-I-had-to-have-it thing. I can't recall the brand name but it was around $80!! Ritchey seat pipe with a Surly clamp. WTB Velociraptor tires. In this pic it doesn't have pedals since I swapped them to my Fuji Cross for the cross season.
A former Velo Sport Bike Shop comrade might buy my mid-80's Bianchi. If so, this will mark the first time in 50 years that I have not had an Italian bike in my stable. No wait, I forgot about the Legano Track bike hanging in the garage!
Saw this shot when in London last month and took it for my Flickr friend Kieran who has a whole set on Bianchi bicycles.
