Very welcome overnight rain, and a golden opportunity to get a shot of this 'golden balcony' begonia with a few raindrops.

After the rain

According to google lens anyway 😂

There are four begonias in the blue pot in our patio but one is shy and not seen in this image, I do not think I have ever had this many blooms at one time. I follow the procedure of bringing them in before frost hits and then letting them go dormant over the winter and then replanting them in the spring. I have done this for many years. The background shows a fountain that is much loved by small birds as well as some bigger ones like robins and cedar waxwings.

These are still flowering in the garden. I have lifted some of the corms/tubers but it will soon be time to get the rest in before the frost comes. This was taken in the garden using natural sunlight to backlight the bloom.

Begonia venosa "White Rhino"

(033/365) This is the Begonia whose foliage featured in my previous photo. I love how the delicate white flowers are held on quite long stems. I've just noticed the stems are as hairy as the leaf edges.

I'm sure I've only fed it once or twice over the past 4 years. It definitely needs repotting, a task for when these blooms have faded. Happy Window Wednesday! Please do not look too closely at my filthy porch windows.

My large Begoina, planted in a shady nook of the garden have these lovely pendulous flowers at the moment. The flowers are born on long stalks with many pendulous florets. The whole things stands as high as me - >1.75m. I'm not certain exactly what species it is but the large, spotty strap like leaves are really nice too.

Finally, a new photo. :)

It was extremely windy yesterday; I think this is the only picture that isn't somewhat blurred.

Wishing you a happy weekend! Here are some of my Begonias! Thanks for visiting my photo, Fav and Comment! Much appreciated! : )

There are so many beautiful Begonia types. The leaves are the most eye-catching and the flowers are often inconspicuous and small. They are beautiful!

Here is one of mine that is now in bloom...

This begonia has lovely dark leaves and few blooms but the blooms are a striking deep pink in color. This one looked shy, somewhat hidden by the other begonias so I gave this bloom a chance to be seen.

Begonias are a garden classic for good reason: This easy-to-grow plant takes root in a variety of conditions and requires little to thrive. Choose any of the many shapes, sizes, and colors, and you’ll be rewarded with stunning flowers and foliage. Some plants showcase single flowers with just one row of petals, while others have double blooms with numerous rows of petals.
