At its November 2025 Board meeting, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey proposed plans to make major service increases across the PATH rail system beginning in 2026, following completion of the agency’s comprehensive PATH Forward rehabilitation program. When its package of extensive service improvements is fully implemented, PATH – for the first time in 25 years – will offer service on every line, every day.

The return of seven-day service on all four PATH lines is a major milestone in the Port Authority’s long-term modernization of the 117-year-old railroad. Riders will see the first phase of these changes implemented in March 2026 following completion of the $430 million PATH Forward initiative. The enhanced service options will deliver faster, more direct travel for weekend customers as well as shorter wait times during weekday rush hours, offering riders a more reliable and convenient experience across all lines and all days of the week.

Beginning new challenges

First recognised as a great wilderness by Galen Clark in the 1850s, Yosemite inspired naturalist John Muir who said it was "the grandest of all the special temples of Nature."

This sign board marked the beginning of our hike today. Its trails were part riparian and part urban sidewalk. We didn't care all that much for the urban parts.

Sign in Santa Monica that warns people away from going to the beach

THE MEANING & SYMBOLISM OF

NARCISSUS / DAFFODIL

Symbolizing rebirth and new beginnings, the daffodil is virtually synonymous with spring. Though their botanic name is narcissus, daffodils are sometimes called jonquils, and in England, because of their long association with Lent, they’re known as the “Lent Lily.” Lore connecting the daffodil to not only a sign of winter’s end but a lucky emblem of future prosperity is found throughout the world. In Wales, it’s said if you spot the first daffodil of the season, your next 12 months will be filled with wealth, and Chinese legend has it that if a daffodil bulb is forced to bloom during the New Year, it will bring good luck to your home.

The March birth flower and the 10th wedding anniversary flower, a gift of daffodils is said to ensure happiness. But always remember to present daffodils in a bunch – the same legends that associate this cheerful flower with good fortune warn us that when given as a single bloom, a daffodil can foretell misfortune.

Come appassionati di calcio pochi minuti prima della partita, speriamo che l'anno appena cominciato ci faccia vincere la classifica.

As the spirit of a fan who approaches the game, I hope the new year we can win the ranking.
