Too much taper. What's causing that?
Not enough of a "camel hump" look to the top. The "hotdog dent" along the top doesn't want to stay put.
Front dents... okay... I guess? Better than I expected, anyway.
That taper is really bugging me. Maybe it's my fat head, bulging out the sides at the bottom of the crown? I have a bit of sizing tape around the inside, perhaps I could remove it. Then the hat will sit lower, and the top of my pointy head (fat around the sides, pointy on top -- fitting a hat really teaches you a lot about how ill-shaped your skull is, if your skull happens to be ill-shaped) will push the top dent out even more than it's doing already.
Hmmm....
Time for a supper break. Let the hat dry in the sun. Tweak it again in an hour or so.

Many thanks to Twilekjedi and www.flickr.com/photos/mistersable/ for both encouragement and pointers on hat bashing; and to this tutorial at Adventure-Realms.com, suggested by Twilekjedi, for step-by-step instructions.

Soggy, wet day at Bash Bish Falls. And as always very dramatic.
Click or 'Z' for the HiRez goodness ...
Finally made it! The first time I went, I biked up the road and ended up at the top of the cliff, after which you had to hike down rocks to get to the falls... This time, I hiked the dirt path by walking my bike.
This is at the corner of MA/NY/CT, though Bash Bish itself is in MA.
Bash Bish Falls is one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Massachusetts. Unfortunately, there was a logjam on the right side of the falls, blocking most of the flow.
Stabsgefreiter Heinz moves cautiously through the fields. He carries the MG-42 like a rifle and with a 50 round belt already inserted hs is ready to bring it up to fire in an instance.
Note how he also carries his entrenching tool tucked into his belt.
