Taken from the train between Courtenay and Nanaimo, BC.

Yes - it's an evil invasive species, but the coconutty smell of the gorse along the water reminded me of the UK.

Not only am I trying to make do with a substandard camera, but I also am missing photostitch. Anyhow, ghostships aside, you get the idea. There are lots of sailboats in the harbour.

Great place to spend a Wednesday night - wine is on for cost + $6.00. Again - not leaning, that's just my crappy temporary camera.

Fountain in front of Victoria city hall.

On the way to the Goldstream Falls.

Spring beauties and Yellowbells were still in flower in higher up on Kobau.

Not actually leaning - my camera does funny things to straight lines.

This is how my neighborhood looks through my Prius backup camera :-)

Our second stop on the first day of fieldtrips for Botany BC.

Above the Similkameen River in an ecological reserve. The kind of quintessential interior experience that makes you want to sing "The Sound of Music" at the top of your lungs.
