Listening to: Beck - Girl

It's old but I am learning to rediscover this song and falling in love all over again, the the video works sooo much with these 3 outfits (in my head anyways XD muhaha)

SEE THIS <--------in in case you want to get high without drugs and/or have no idea whatsover what is replacing my avatar's real head up there...

Went to K9 and tried the demo for the Bunnythrone by Moon Rabbit. No way is she going to top the Stingrabbit from last year, right? Wrong, she topped it and HARD or errr fluffy! OMGosh Becky L@@k at her fuzzy throne!!!!

Had so much fun running around with other shoppers, testing the demo. There was no question, I got the fatpack! I mean, we even had bunnythrone races!

Worked up quite an appetite, stopped at the Lucas Lameth booth to grab a Clubhouse Sandwich. Their food is Always Yummy! Wonder what happens to the crumbs I get on the throne?!

Next year, I should wear a blindfold and just throw my lindens at Moon Rabbit!!!

Today the general wants us to take this damn island. Some of the CO's are questioning the "value" of this island. They say it is for the airstrip. Come to think of it, that's what all of these islands have been about. The general says it'll take us about four days to take control of this island. Jap resistance is fierce. Traps, wire, mines, tanks, banzai raids, grenades, . . . . . hell . . . . . Who knows how long and how many lives this rock will take to secure.

Started animating Vampire Egress today. Weird title, weird content, it's going to be awesomesauce.

Alright, so i actually have an actual description about this photo, and its about my day! A friend Francis Tan (look him up, good photog and all around good guy) showed me this location, and initially when we went to see it. It was all dandy and awesomesauce. Nothing wrong with it, seemed like an exquisite location to acquire lovely photographs! So i brought my next client there, aka Lameah. When we first entered, everything seemed fine. Then i saw this sick foresty area to shoot. So we started heading over there, ive never seen so many crickets, bugs, gnats, squirrels, rabbits, loch ness monsters, and el chupacabras. We finally get to the spot, and these pair of rottweilers come running towards us with the most definite intention to maul the hell out of our faces. Thank the lord, their owner called them back. (i forgot to mention, we were for sure trespassing some area, but i didnt think they would have freaking attack dogs). Then the owner of the place talked to us, and he totally didnt mind us taking pictures. Regardless we kept shooting, but i told lameah to sit down and chill out for a few shots, when she realized there were dead birds on the ground. Yes i meant that plural, they were EVERYWHERE. So many dead birds! We eventually moved from there to another part of the area with these sick tractors and stuff. While shooting we kept hearing gunshots, specifcally from shotguns. But i assumed that was coming from across the ways, because there is a gun range. But it turns out there were dudes walking around with shot guns, releasing birds and shooting them. Well, that explains all the dead birds. It was honestly so weird. Golden hour started to end, and lameah and i were gonna go head back home. But then this dude in a truck driving on the road stumbled upon Lameah's purse, my money, her extra clothes, her glasses and etc. And just picked it up and was ready to drive off. We kept yelling at the dude, but he didnt hear us i guess. Lameah and i started to run after this guy, i got tired. And i felt bad letting Lameah run after this man, but then i realized she was a track runner. So i let her do her thing, she caught up, got her stuff back, then we headed home to pick up some food and chill hahahaha. Jesus, seriously one of the most interesting locations ive been too. What an adventure :P.

Also, i know the horizon isnt leveled. The shot has way more personality this way. So get over it!

As creatives, we have the ability to lift each other up, motivate and inspire... and in doing so, can in turn inspire ourselves.

Renee Robyn, a fellow edmonton based photographer who also shoots for the love of it recently visitied montreal. We had been in vague facebook contact over the past year and when she came to visit Montreal earlier last week, we took the time to grab a quick coffee. Before we knew it 7 hours had passed and we left with somewhat of a mutual fascination for one another.

Unfortunately her trip was a short one and she left a couple days after but the idea of collaborating stuck so last night, I sporadically teleported over to Edmonton where we promptly put together this shot.

Tomorrow, she'll be floating over this way and we'll do something equally crazy on this side of the world!

Stay tuned for more awesomesauce....

Top of the Rock Observation Deck in Rockefeller Center, New York City. Handheld.

Waited in the freezing cold on the top of the rock observation deck for the sun to set. Making multiple trips in and out of the souvenir shop at the top level as it was freezing cold. The sunset was amazing! Made the wait all worthwhile :) Tripod was not allowed on the deck therefore had to be shot handheld. Dinner that followed at Balthazar was awesome!

ps. the later shots was mostly blur as I was shivering and could no longer handhold my camera.

Candy: *hands a mug to Charley, sits down*

Charley: “Thanks. *blows across the top of it and takes a tentative sip, grimaces* Uck, this tastes like Candyland had babies with The Lollipop Guild.”

Candy: “Oops, sorry! That’s mine. I like a lot of sugar in my coffee. *switches the mugs* Here’s yours, black and caustic enough to melt teeth.”

Charley: *sips her newly exchanged mug, nods* “Mmm. Ulcer in a cup. Thanks.”

Candy: “So…what’s new with the kids? Anyone glue anyone else’s head to their desk lately?”

Charley: “Nope. Since the last hellion nearly lost his ear and I told him we’d have to start calling him van Gogh, that shenanigan’s kinda died out.”

Candy (curiously): “Van Gogh, huh. Did he get the ref?”

Charley: “I’m an awesome teacher. Of course he got it.”

Candy: “I thought you just taught music.”

Charley: *shrugs* “Hands on, yeah, but I like to slip in some other stuff, like art history, too.”

Candy: “Cool, cool…” *sips her coffee, while peering at Charley expectantly over her cup*

Charley: “Where’s Dan?”

Candy: “Out meeting with a club owner. Apparently, the guy wants y’all to headline at a new place he’s opening later this year.”

Charley: *Cool, cool…” *lifts her coffee cup to her lips, slurps softly*

Candy (casually): “So…your big date with Dane was last night, huh?”

Charley: “Yep.”

Over Thanksgiving we went back to the Eastman House, which happened to be during the annual gingerbread house auction so it was really busy in there. We decided to roam the grounds instead to get away. It reminds me of The Shining, but less creepy and more pretty.

Oh yeah! I almost forgot to mention rebeca entered in a raffle there and she won this huge book with like 400 cameras in it. awesomesauce.

My last day in space. For a while, that is. The 55th was transferred to another spaceship, and Rain and I were given the objective to take a suicidal R7 Unit with us to blow it up. Not a big deal.

My entry point was minimally guarded: Two Battle Droids and a Droideka. Normally, the last one would cause a lot of trouble, but Rocky's modified Z6-Rotary Cannon managed to quickly overload it's shields and destroy it. From that point, everything went easy. The poor little droid was attached to the generator, and we got out of there as fast as we could. Lucky us. I hope Rain makes it out of there alive as well, because from what I've heard, he had a lot more resistance... We'll see.

I'd like to think that I used this part well enough. It's certainly swooshable, and my first and only Vic Viper to boot. It has a black stand and it's got megablox in it (as well as for the landing gear). I couldn't bring myself to cut anything, just not ready for that.

Anyways, another tribute to a master builder that will be missed. Hope you find that perfect brick wherever you are nnenn.

This one keeps going in and out of Explore which is really really cool! Thanks to everyone who has viewed it. I have been meaning to go back to this image and re-process it from RAW (this is just camera JPG).

My buddy Stef is awesome. The sky was totally blah until she did this!

This was taken after a long, hot, humid day of me dragging her through Prospect Park testing new photo toys. She has the patience of a saint, but the looks of a siren.

It's always wonderful to work with creative, beautiful people who do interesting things.

We find our heroes at the peak of Mount Mungus Mon Jungus, approaching a flat area of stone. Noodle Joe steps forward and takes out a box of corn flakes. He starts pouring the cereal onto the ground to make a pentagram. He steps back and looks at his palm, where he has written down the incantation he needs.

"Spooky scary skeletons, send shivers down my spine! Shrieking skulls will shock my soul, oh seal my doom tonight!"

Suddenly, the ground began to rumble. Then, slowly, a hoard of skeletons began to emerge from the cracks and crevices between the boulders. A skeleton wearing golden armor emerged and climbed upon a rock, looking over his skeleton battalion. His name was Shrieky-Deek, and this was his college fraternity.

"WHO DARES DISTURB OUR SLUMBERRRRRRRRR???" he asked in a voice that rumbled so low a few nearby rocks split in half.

"Yeah, uh, that would be us." Noodle Joe said. In this moment, dear reader, he sounded like the guy who said "Welcome to earth" in that Keshen8 YouTube video about aliens. "We know you and your frat were rivals against Eo-Noodle-Kappa in college [the Eo noodle dynasty was a frat in the 60s before it became a dynasty later.] We need any information you have on them."

"What happens at a frat party stays at a frat party" Shrieky-Deek replied. "Oldest rule in the book. Bro's honor code bro."

Two of the skeletons chest-bumped at this, which in turn killed one of them as he fell apart. The other skeletons started going "OHHHHHHHHH" because that is an objectively sick way to go out bro.

"Ok but let me ask you this." Hugh said. "If you skeletons don't pack anything down front anymore, are you even really men, let alone bros?"

The skeletons considered this. It was true that their undead bodies were pretty much as gender-neutral as it got. A skeleton's jaw dropped. Like literally it fell off.

"I... I guess... you're right..." Shrieky-Deek said, slowly. "The bro's honor code bro... I guess it doesn't apply anymore..."

"Sweet now that we got that out of the way I'm a single 24 year old yellow plastic male looking for some casual fun. Any takers?"

A few of the skeletons raised their hands.

"Awesomesauce I've always wondered what it would be like to get with a skeleton chick."

"I thought we didn't have genders" One of the skeletons said.

"Idk I'm open to new things" another one replied. The others murmured in agreement and went over to Hugh.

"Ok but now that the bro's honor code bro doesn't apply, can you tell us what you know about the Eo noodle dynasty?" Noodle Joe asked.

"Oh yeah sure" Shrieky-Deek responded. "A little after the bomb went off we tried to order take out from them but all their branches had closed except for one like wayyyyyyyyyyyyy East of Ninjago City. So that's probably your best bet."

Our heroes and their newly acquired skeleton companions started their back down the mountain. Master Betcha was talking to Noodle Joe.

"Well that ended a lot more peacefully than I could have hoped for." The old bouncer said.

"Yeah well don't count your capri shorts it will go so smoothly every time." Noodle Joe spat. "Yeah, that's right, I'm willing to get my hands dirty! I'm not FRICKING around! You thought this was actually going to be a cute little sitcom? Well think again you little turdmunchers! I'm one edgy son of a fruit bar! That's right! And I've seen things you can bet your boxer briefs have changed me psychologically! It's gonna take some serious exploring to get to the bottom of what I'm all about! Yes-sir-ee! Don't expect anything else 'cause the darkest adventures are just beginning! You can take that to the bank!"

Silence fell among the group.

"Nah I'm just busting your chops this series is total bullsh*t. Come on let's go."

Squinternet Larnia of Donna Flora is one of the SecondLife creators I admire the most. I have known her for years. Our friendship is not the kind where you chat every day, but we talk often about our crafts, our taste, and our vision of being creators in SecondLife. As a person and an artist, I have the deepest admiration for the passion, honesty, and dedication Squinternet puts into her work. I admire the playfulness that exudes from her art, and the strong creative will that drives her. She is someone who does not compromise her vision, and someone that gives all of herself in her creations. That's what makes a true artist, to me. This relentless dedication to her craft is something that shows in every piece of Donna Flora.

In the past few days, I have been immersed in Squinternet’s vendors, helping to move them to her new Donna Flora mainstore and Miamai satellite shop. I was moved, once again, by her fire. The pure determination to create. The breathing for beauty. If you sit in a room surrounded by her creations, you cannot ignore that force. From the simple elegance of a silky sheath, to the sophistication of a tailored suit; from frilly sleeves to flapper fringe – her style has such range that everyone can find something to suit their taste. Regardless of one’s personal style, one cannot deny the strength and liveliness of the bold, colorful soul that produced Donna Flora creations.

It conjures that spark of joy and life that ignites your mind when something inspires you.

I want to help my friend as much as I can. We both depend on SL for our living, and I can only imagine how worried I would be in her situation. There is always pressure for creators to release new items, because if you do not, traffic and sales dwindle. I also wanted to try and give her the opportunity to create and play, which she so loves about SecondLife and, for now, cannot enjoy. That's how I came up with the idea of collaborating with her to design some new clothes for her brand.

When she feels ok, she stays in Skype and we chat about this and that. One night we went on a happy window shopping spree on the web to look for ideas. We brainstormed about shapes and colors, talking about every detail. I then made the mesh and showed it to her for approval. I then textured, rigged, made the materials, and very nervously showed her my screen so that she could see the sequins shimmering in the sunlight.

Why nervous?

Hey, she is Squinternet. She can be intimidating! ^^

Luckily for me, she approved it on sight, and decided to call it Noemi.

I made a small video to show you how pretty the sparkly sequin is in the sunlight. I am no video maker, so forgive the bumps and the sickly moving of the camera. It's better than the Blair Witch Project anyway. ^^

The dress is now out at Donna Flora Mainstore.

100% of the sales go to Squinternet. I hope I did a good job in honouring her awesomesauce brand and creative genius and that you will run to buy it!

Thank you for being a bunch of sweet people hearing the call of one of us in need ♥

Yuri: “What a lovely Hello Kitty, Lizzy! Is it a new addition to your collection?

Lizzy: *nods animatedly* “Uh-huh! Mr. Hawk gave it to me for Christmas. See…*thrusts it forward, for Yuri’s perusal, gleefully* she’s wearing a kimono! Isn’t it just too kawaii?!”

Yuri (amused): “Exceedingly.”

Hermione: “Yeah! And he got me a new Momiji for my collection, too. Just the one I’ve been stalkin’ on Amazon. Hawk’s so boss!”

Yuri: “Indeed, he has always been an astute gift giver; I am pleased to see some things do not change. Did Georgie mention where he was taking her on their outing today?”

Lizzy: *shakes her head* “No, ma’am, but she’s really excited about seeing Mr. Hawk again. This is the third weekend in a row he’s driven over from Boston for a date.”

Hermione: “He’s probably taking her someplace totes boring, like another museum. It’s a good thing the dude’s one buff baddie with gift givin’ swerve, or else he’d never get laid.”

Yuri & Lizzy (reproachfully): “Hermione!”

Hermione: *startled look* “What?”

Lizzy: “That’s my sister you’re talking about, and she’s not letting Mr. Hawk, erm, lay her anywhere! *sniffs* She’s not that kind of girl!”

Yuri: “Well stated, Lizzy. Have a cookie…” *scoots a plate piled with cookies in front of the girls*

Lizzy: *eyes widen with cookie-lust, as she carefully makes a selection and takes a dainty bite*

Hermione: “Um, I’m real sorry that I suggested Georgie was ‘that’ kinda girl…and that Hawk was a boring ho-dog. So, can I have a cookie, too?”

Yuri: *barely stifles a chuckle* “Of course, help yourself.”

Hermione: *grabs a handful of cookies, shoving one into her mouth unceremoniously, muffled through a mouthful of crumbs* “Mmm! This. Is. So. Good.”

Lizzy: *nods fervently* “Sooooo good!”

Yuri: *smiles indulgently* “I am pleased you two are enjoying them. Which would you say is your favorite?”

Hermione: *swallows with a loud gulp* “Peanut butter!”

Lizzy: *pops her last bite into her mouth* “Chocolate chip oatmeal!”

Yuri: “How coincidental! My favorite is also the chocolate chip oatmeal.”

Lizzy (happily): “Really, Miz Yuri? That’s awesomesauce! We have a lot in common, don’t you think?”

Yuri (warmly): “I do, indeed.”

Hermione (hopefully): “Well, what’s Miz Kumi’s favorite cookie?”
