My dad would have turned 90 today. He told me last year that he wouldn't make it.
I didn't believe it for a second.
He had said the same thing the previous two years about turning 88 and 89. I knew eventually he would be right - just not this time.
I keep revisiting this portrait of him. I'm so glad I convinced him to let me take it...

A quick peek for a bit into one of the many abandoned buildings that make up the Stonewall Jackson School. This was a reform school for boys back in the day and though some sections and buildings are no longer used part of the grounds are still currently housing troubled youths. Pretty wild place with some great history involving the state...
