Un tram come tanti, passeggeri che salgono e scendono, una stazione che potrebbe trovarsi ovunque. Ma l’indicazione in alto a sinistra ricorda che siamo a Nagasaki, a pochi passi dal Museo della Bomba Atomica. Qui la normalità quotidiana e il peso della memoria convivono nello stesso spazio, costringendo a riflettere su quanto il presente e il passato restino inevitabilmente intrecciati.

A tram like any other, passengers boarding and leaving, a station that could be anywhere. Yet the sign on the top left reminds us this is Nagasaki, just steps away from the Atomic Bomb Museum. Here, everyday normality and the weight of memory coexist, forcing us to reflect on how the present and the past remain inevitably intertwined.

La Conmemoración de la Paz de Hiroshima o Memorial de la Paz de Hiroshima, llamada también Cúpula Genbaku (原爆ドーム Genbaku Dōmu?) o Cúpula de la Bomba Atómica por los japoneses, se encuentra en Hiroshima, Japón.
El edificio fue originalmente proyectado por el arquitecto checo Jan Letzel para la Exposición Comercial de la Prefectura de Hiroshima (HMI). Fue terminado en abril de 1915 e inaugurado oficialmente en agosto de ese año. Es una construcción de ladrillo y hormigón con una cúpula estructura de acero. Desde 1996 está en la lista del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO.
El hipocentro de la explosión de la primera bomba atómica arrojado sobre una población civil de 6 de agosto de 1945 se situó a una distancia de apenas 150 metros en la horizontal y 600 metros en la vertical del edificio, fue la estructura más próxima que resistió al impacto. El edificio fue inmediatamente preservado exactamente como se encontraba después del bombardeo, sirve hoy como un monumento conmemorativo de la devastación nuclear y un símbolo de esperanza en la paz mundial y la eliminación de todas las armas nucleares.

La bomba atómica cayó cerca de la casa de una niña llamada Sadako Sasaki cuando tenía dos años. Desarrolló una leucemia a causa de la radiación. A los ocho meses de diagnosticarle la enfermedad murió. Tenía doce años.
Una compañera de clase le dijo que construyera mil grullas de origami para curarse, porque existe una leyenda en Japón que dice que si construyes mil grullas se cumplirá uno de tus sueños.
Sadako no llegó a hacer más que seiscientas y pico, pero sus compañeros se encargaron de terminarlas y fue enterrada con ellas. Hoy día son consideradas símbolo de la paz gracias a ella.
En su honor y el de los niños afectados por la guerra se construyó este Monumento a la Paz de los Niños, en el Parque de la Paz de Hiroshima, con el dinero recaudado por los escolares japoneses, y fue diseñado por los artistas Kazuo Kikuchi y Kiyoshi Ikebe.
Cientos de grullas llegan cada año de todo el mundo para honrarles y mostrar rechazo a las armas nucleares. Grullas que cuelgan en ristras que ponen una nota de color junto al Monumento.
Bajo la estructura hay una grulla de bronce que con el viento golpea una campana de la paz tradicional de la cual se encuentra suspendida, y la hace sonar. Los dos elementos fueron donados por Hideki Yukawa, un ganador del Premio Nobel.
En la base del monumento hay una losa de piedra negra, sobre la cual se encuentra tallada la siguiente inscripción en japonés:
これはぼくらの叫びです これは私たちの祈りです 世界に平和をきずくための
(Kore wa bokura no sakebi desu. Kore wa watashitachi no inori desu. Sekai ni heiwa o kizuku tame no).
"Este es nuestro llanto, esta es nuestra plegaria para construir paz en el mundo".

While I know that I took this photo at the The Smithsonians National Museum of American History in Washington DC, I can't recall what this is nor the display it comes from. It looks quite sinister and most likely relates to splitting atoms.

Sadako Sasaki, a Japanese girl who was two years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on August 6, 1945, near her home in Hiroshima, was diagnosed with acute malignant lymph gland leukemia in 1954, caused by radiation exposure. According to a Japanese legend anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish, so she started to fold paper cranes but she died before reaching her goal. In 1958, a statue of Sadako holding a golden crane was unveiled in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. She has become a leading symbol of the impact of nuclear war. Since my first visit to Milano a few years ago, I wanted to take a night shot of the "Piazza del Duomo". Both, the Gothic cathedral and the "Galleria Vittorio Emanuele", are two magnificent buildings, symbols of one of the most important cities in Italy.
Once again I decided to take the photograph at the blue hour, not only because it is one of my favorite moments of the day, but also because the number of people that fill the square decreases at dusk and also the long exposures make disappear a large number of passers. Even so, and despite taking a large number of shots, there were many people sitting in the same place without moving, so I had to use the clone stamp in the post-processing to "clean" the square even more, and that they were not a distraction factor for anyone who admired the image.

Desde mi primera visita a Milán hace ya algunos años, había querido realizar una fotografía nocturna de la "Piazza del Duomo". Tanto la catedral gótica como la "Galleria Vittorio Emanuele" son dos edificios magníficos, símbolos de una de las ciudades más importantes de Italia.
Una vez más decidí realizar la fotografía a la hora azul, no solo por ser uno de mis momentos favoritos del día, sino también porque la cantidad de personas que abarrotan la plaza disminuye al anochecer y además las largas exposiciones permiten que muchos de los transeúntes desaparezcan. Aún así, y a pesar de realizar un gran número de tomas, había mucha gente sentada en el mismo lugar sin moverse, por lo que tuve que recurrir al tampón de clonar en el post-procesado para "limpiar" más si cabe la plaza, y que no supusieran un factor de distracción para quien admirase la imagen.

"This was a take on the government booklets that were to be distributed if the country was under threat from nuclear attack in the 1970s, as part of a public information campaign. It was full of totally ludicrous instructions, like telling people to remove their lace curtains in the event of an attack; and “when you hear the all-clear you may resume normal activities” - after a Third World War!
My work then was centred around the anti-nuclear movement. I saw it as a sort of visual toolbox for activists working within the movement. I wanted people to use these images, to print and distribute them in different ways. People made their own images from those montages and put them on banners or made sculptures for marches. I liked the idea of my work being a visual language that’s simple enough for people to make their own versions of. If you make political work it’s no good it sitting in the studio or just going into galleries, the point is to get it out to the general public. So I was happy for my work to be put on badges or t-shirts, or whatever. Removing it from the confines of high art and into popular culture is what the work is about."

Amo tigre, amo todos os animais, mas sou apaixonada por tigres. Por isso fiquei pensando em como poderia reproduzir algo bonito como um tigre, logico q nao chego nunca aos pés da beleza desse felino, mas eu amei o resultado.
Sério gente, to babando na minha unha, fiquei a noite pensando em como ia fazer e saiu essa coisinha linda
Primeiro eu fiz um degrade com a tecnica q nao sei o nome q mistura os esmaltes antes de colocar na esponja, usei 3 esmaltes da Colorama, base com o Gelo, e o degradê com Mostarda Atomica e Laranja Elastico... depois carimbei com Preto para carimbo da Blant colors usando plaquinha da BM, finalizei com o TC tb da Blant, acho o brilho q ele dá perfeito.
Oq acharam? Ficou lindo ou só eu q to babando sozinha? kkkkkk

En la cordillera de los Andes de la Norpatagonia Chilena, a 70 kms al sur del Lago Ranco en la llamada Región de Los Ríos se encuentra el "Cordón del Caulle", un macizo montañoso que delimita por el norte el Parque Nacional Puyehue. Esta cordillera corresponde a un sistema volcánico activo conocido como "Complejo Volcánico Puyehue-Cordón Caulle" conformado por tres volcanes Cordillera Nevada, Caulle y Puyehue. En el 2011 el Volcán Caulle hizo una violenta erupción equivalente a 70 bombas atómicas cuyas cenizas afectaron a diversas ciudades de la Norpatagonia Argentina llegando incluso a Australia.
En medio de estas montañas se ubica Rupumeica Alto, una localidad habitada principalmente por comunidades Mapuches. La zona de gran belleza escénica se caracteriza por su abundante vegetación del tipo Selva Valdiviana (Bosque Andino Patagónico de los Andes Australes o Bosque Templado Lluvioso Siempreverde). En diversos tramos del sector se aprecia mucho bosque renoval creciendo sobre la ceniza volcánica. Destaca la gran cantidad de cursos de agua como lagos, lagunas, rios y magníficas cáscadas, un deleite para fotográfos. Esto ha estimulado en toda el área sur del Lago Ranco el desarrollo de diversos proyectos privados de conservación de la naturaleza como el Parque Futangue y el Parque Huishue que ha permitido dar protección a grandes áreas boscosas el norte del limite del Parque Nacional Puyehue.
Una de las maravillas de esta zona son los Ojos de Huishue. Un impresionante conjunto de cascadas originadas por el desague subterráneo del Lago Huishue. Esta maravilla de la naturaleza esta formado por una decenas de saltos de agua que brotan entre la vegetación y la roca, algunos a mas de 20 mts de alto. En el lugar hay dos senderos, uno para ver el origen del salto principal y otro con un mirador para ver todo el conjunto. Desde aquí también se puede subir hasta un mirador para tener magnificas vistas del Valle de Rupumeica Bajo, Cordillera Nevada, Lago Maihue y de todo el entorno cordillerano. En este lugar miembros de la comunidad Mapuche de Rupumeica Alto están comenzando un emprendimiento turístico que ofrecerá camping, cabalgatas, cabañas y guías para diversas excursiones. This mountain range corresponds to an active volcanic system known as "Puyehue-Cordón Caulle Volcanic Complex" formed by three volcanoes Cordillera Nevada, Caulle and Puyehue. In 2011 the Caulle Volcano made a violent eruption equivalent to 70 atomic bombs whose ashes affected several cities of the Argentine Norpatagonia reaching even Australia.
In the middle of these mountains is Rupumeica Alto, a town inhabited mainly by Mapuche communities. The zone of great scenic beauty is characterized by its abundant vegetation of the Valdivian Selva type (Patagonian Andean Forest of the Southern Andes or Evergreen Temperate Rainforest). In several sections of the sector there is a lot of renewal forest growing on the volcanic ash. It highlights the large number of water courses such as lakes, lagoons, rivers and magnificent waterfalls, a delight for photographers. This has stimulated the development of several private nature conservation projects such as the Futangue Park and the Huishue Park throughout the southern area of Lake Ranco, which has allowed protection of large wooded areas north of the Puyehue National Park boundary.
One of the wonders of this area are the Eyes of Huishue. An impressive set of waterfalls originated by the underground drain of Lake Huishue. This wonder of nature is formed by dozens of waterfalls sprouting between vegetation and rock, some more than 20 meters high. In the place there are two trails, one to see the origin of the main waterfall and another with a viewpoint to see the whole cascades. From here you can also go up to a viewpoint to have magnificent views of the Valley of Rupumeica Bajo, Cordillera Nevada, Lake Maihue and the entire mountain range. In this place, members of the Mapuche community of Rupumeica Alto are starting a tourism endeavour that will offer camping, horseback riding, cabins and guides for various excursions. En la cordillera de los Andes de la Norpatagonia Chilena, a 70 kms al sur del Lago Ranco en la llamada Región de Los Ríos se encuentra el "Cordón del Caulle", un macizo montañoso que delimita por el norte el Parque Nacional Puyehue. Esta cordillera corresponde a un sistema volcánico activo conocido como "Complejo Volcánico Puyehue-Cordón Caulle" conformado por tres volcanes Cordillera Nevada, Caulle y Puyehue. En el 2011 el Volcán Caulle hizo una violenta erupción equivalente a 70 bombas atómicas cuyas cenizas afectaron a diversas ciudades de la Norpatagonia Argentina llegando incluso a Australia.
En medio de estas montañas se ubica Rupumeica Alto, una localidad habitada principalmente por comunidades Mapuches. La zona de gran belleza escénica se caracteriza por su abundante vegetación del tipo Selva Valdiviana (Bosque Andino Patagónico de los Andes Australes o Bosque Templado Lluvioso Siempreverde). En diversos tramos del sector se aprecia mucho bosque renoval creciendo sobre la ceniza volcánica. Destaca la gran cantidad de cursos de agua como lagos, lagunas, rios y magníficas cáscadas, un deleite para fotográfos. Esto ha estimulado en toda el área sur del Lago Ranco el desarrollo de diversos proyectos privados de conservación de la naturaleza como el Parque Futangue y el Parque Huishue que ha permitido dar protección a grandes áreas boscosas el norte del limite del Parque Nacional Puyehue.
Una de las maravillas de esta zona son los Ojos de Huishue. Un impresionante conjunto de cascadas originadas por el desague subterráneo del Lago Huishue. Esta maravilla de la naturaleza esta formado por una decenas de saltos de agua que brotan entre la vegetación y la roca, algunos a mas de 20 mts de alto. En el lugar hay dos senderos, uno para ver el origen del salto principal y otro con un mirador para ver todo el conjunto. Desde aquí también se puede subir hasta un mirador para tener magnificas vistas del Valle de Rupumeica Bajo, Cordillera Nevada, Lago Maihue y de todo el entorno cordillerano. En este lugar miembros de la comunidad Mapuche de Rupumeica Alto están comenzando un emprendimiento turístico que ofrecerá camping, cabalgatas, cabañas y guías para diversas excursiones.
