The very first illustrative depiction of Cometan is ready to be revealed and it is an honour to share this beautiful piece with the world. Cometan is surrounded by planetary rings and is shown to be in a state of cosmicity which is union with The Cosmos.
Cometan, the Founder of Astronism, graduated from the University of Central Lancashire on 15th July 2019 with a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing. Today, the Astronist Institution shares this throwback picture of Cometan to remember this special day. 👨🎓🎉✨

Today Cometan graduated from his Master’s degree from the University of Central Lancashire in the field of Religion, Culture and Society after a year of waiting caused by the postponement of the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Broadcaster, journalist and Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh gave an excellent speech to commemorate the ceremony and all the hard work that Cometan and his peers had endured during these previous two years. A big congratulations to the Founder of Astronism on his achievements and we here at the Astronist Institution are sure that Cometan will continue to strive for the stars ✨.

This art piece commissioned by the Astronist Institution returns us to the night of the 1st July 2016, specifically the stroke of midnight in the bedroom of the Founder of Astronism, Cometan. He has just in these moments turned eighteen, signalling his entry into adulthood. Having officially founded Astronism exactly three years prior, Cometan's motivation to continue with the endeavour of his new religion has seen some degree of turmoil and doubt in the mind of this still very young figure.
However, upon experiencing further ideations which resulted in indrucy on this very astral of nights, Cometan, at this moment of his entry into adulthood, dedication his entire adult life henceforth to the founding, establishment, dissemination, and study of his Astronist faith. This event in Cometan's life reinvigorated his commitment to the endeavouring of developing Astronism into a formal belief system and has since been classified as one of the incumbential events in the life of Cometan, officially called the Dedication of Cometan.
This Dedication of Cometan at the age of eighteen has been emblematic of Cometan's now unwavering commitment to seeing through the establishment and recognition Astronism the world over. This event of the Dedication of Cometan is so important because it laid the foundations and overall tone of Cometan's life thereafter. It made intertwined the life of Cometan with the successful development of Astronism from which there was no going back, no excuses; Astronism was be fully founded and fully disseminated and Cometan would do all he could in his physical and mental power to achieve just that. Astronists are free to use the example of the Dedication of Cometan in their own lives, whether this be used to ignite or accelerate their journey to astrosis and the eventual transcension of humanity, or whether this be used in secular aspects of a person's life, particularly in their facing of hardships and sufferations.
The Astronist Institution thanks David Young, a truly British artist, for his own dedication in bringing the life of Cometan to the art canvas. Commendations to David for this wondrous art piece as we all here at the Institution look forward to continuing our creative works with you.

Our favorite female astronaut, Luna, finds another glowing blue rock during her space exploration :-)
Fortunately none of these space rocks seem to be dangerous :-)

A Special Conversation with Cometan on Astronism is available to listen to now – www.youtube.com/watch?v=zigxnpKAeaI
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Cometan's crucial lecture on the fundamentals of Astronism and the Astronic tradition was forced to take place virtually.
Earlier in November, at the age of just 22, Cometan was invited by Dr. Harith Ramli to discuss his emerging Astronist philosophy and religion as a 21st century movement with partly prehistoric origins in the Astronic religious tradition. Cometan gladly accepted this invitation and the lecture took place on the morning of 2nd December 2020.
It was a great success for Cometan as he had the opportunity to explain and explore his beliefs of Astronism with an engaged audience of university-level students from Edge Hill University, Ormskirk. For anyone interested in what is meant by the phrase "space religion", this lecture is a must listen for you.
Also, the Astronist Institution has just classified this image above as the forty-first Notable Image of Cometan which places this image an elite category of photographs of Cometan that capture an important point in his life's journey. You can learn more about this designation here – astronism.wikia.org/wiki/The_Space_Religion_Lecture
Cometan completed his First Holy Communion at the traditional age of seven in the Catholic faith. He is pictured here beside a statue of the Virgin Mary in the grounds of his grandparents' home, 222 Longmeanygate. Although Cometan is the founder of his own religion, Astronism, the Traditionalist Catholic upbringing that he experienced certainly impacted his rise to fame and arguably ignited his deep interested in religion.

To celebrate the publication of Cometan's 2021 work titled Irene Mary's October Letter: An Introduction to Irenianism, the Astronist Institution republishes today the wondrous illustration created by British artist David Young back in November 2020 titled Irene Mary & The Cosmical Cometan.

Official Illustration Description provided by the Astronist Institution from 21st November 2020:
Commissioned to coincide with the initial launch of the Cause for Beatification of Irene Mary Taylor, the grandmother of Cometan, the piece represents a beautiful physical coming together by the holding of hands of an old religion (Catholicism) with a new religion (Astronism). It is for this reason that this piece possesses the alternative title Catholic & Cosmic. The old is encapsulated by the figure of Irene Mary as the grandmother, the guide, and the teacher while the new is encapsulated by Cometan as the grandson, the listener, and the follower. It is remarkable how David Young has managed to capture a personal relationship between a grandmother and her grandson whilst simultaneously capturing a universal message of the coming together of two faiths.
Irene Mary is depicted with the Catholic halo denoting her post-corporeal state following her departure of this life. Her carrying of the crucifix and her wearing of the mantilla encapsulate her exemplary status for all Catholics and will serve her path to beatification well. Cometan is depicted gesturing the unique tridian with his fingers along with his own cosmical halo as is customary in the Astronist religion. The deep purple background, the use of rich colours for the clothing and the depictions of stars as the setting for this Cosmic Catholicity certainly complete this piece and give it an unrivalled distinctiveness.
