Never shot Marina before so tonight was a treat. She was extremely pretty lady and a pleasure to photograph. The fan centre stage blowing her hair the hole set makes for some amazing captures along with the eye contact she gives to the camera during her performance.

Lighting was a bit off with some dodgy colours and the white balance on my camera had a mind of its own tonight. Few manual tweaks in lightroom and she was looking better then ever again. Really appreciating the difference in quality between editing from Jpeg's and Raw.

Thanks to the dude who let us pose in his shop (Caribbean Flavor.) - because this is an amazing capture to me. Note there's an sb800 fired behind the couple and another bounced into the low ceiling (I'm 6'5" so I couldn't even stand up).

wallah: @butterflyblue You appear to be doing splendidly, Glenda! It's also easy to understand how @ilein 's long black figures serve as a source of inspiration! ✨✨

butterflyblue: @wallah that of course is ditto for your amazing captures. What is it that is so attractive - referencing time I suppose and the dark contrasts are so striking. I haven't struck the right combo for the beach - I'll keep at it - I'm on startrails for1/2 sec but get more ghosts than solid figures. Thanks for your reply

Great lighting.. bad camera....and some steady hands. I actually caught this grasshopper and feed it to the spider.... and caught him in action.

Spider by Ryan Fleming admarketive.com, amazing capture, great picture

This reminded me of something 3D... LOL..... the last of my lilly blooms... poor thing never came to fruition....

An amazing capture of a rich, deep gray sky.

I cropped it and desaturared the color to give it a creepy effect.

The white truck adds a little something to it.

Whitetail Nuclear Family Twins

The Whitetail Doe is used to me as much as ANY Whitetail I’ve photographed in quite a while. She passes this lack of fear on to her twin fawns. The one in front has a split hear like it’s mother (same ear too). That fawns ear isn’t quite as notable as it’s mothers notch but I’ll be watching these two. They should be very used to me by winter. I hope not to scare them in any way so that they accept me as just another grazing animal of no threat to them.

Usually Whitetails are essentially unapproachable. You get beautiful photo of their white tail and rump running away. The southbound side of a north bound deer in other words.

These guys and I have been playing hide and seek for a many weeks now. The fawns and doe survived the 3 inch hail dump for 1/2 an hour a few weeks ago. Most of the pasture is flattened but this particular field still has grass with heads. It’s not reduced to straw in other words. I’m sure these guys didn’t like that hail storm a bit.

This is the first of a dozen or more amazing captures of this family out in the grasslands. This was one of the first and thus furthest away from the clients. I will take photos, then move a little, take photos, move a little over and over until I’m filling camera frames with faces and eyebrows. This was late afternoon golden hour but this is early. The later timeline captures are marvelously color cast by the setting sun. Stay tuned as they mingle into my workflow.

We were at the end of the trip, and hauling the canoe up to the truck. Rob was in front and suddenly he drops the front of the canoe and falls to the ground.

So, now, I'm a lifeguard. First responder. Thinking of going through an EMT course. I see Rob drop, and I'm thinking -- "crap, he's having a heart attack."

But, he wasn't -- he was catching a skink. He kept saying "I'm killing him. Oh, crap, I'm killing him."

I started laughing and asked -- "If you're killing him, why not let him go?"

"NOOOOOO! I. MUST. CATCH. HIM!"

Finally, he got the skink, and we got some pictures, and let him go.

It was an amazing capture. I just wish I had recorded the entire thing.

This was an amazing capture after all the closed eyes and fake smiles which came before this snapshot!

Haven't got the ID yet. Another little bird. Had no problems being photographed. :-) Allowed me to get very close.

Amazing capture of the folds and lace in her dress...

This was such and amazing capture cause the shear cleverness/ creativity i had to use to pull it this shot off. There was a mirror to the right of the stage that i through flash at so i wouldn't blind jack while she was performing and i caught Brook on the face looking at the camera. Def Sounds is bobbing in the background. this is classic IMO.

Amazing capture of my son and the female polar bear at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. This almost looks like a painting.

I don't know how these guys manage to stay on their boards, but this young man shows some real skill as he maneuvers to ride this wave!

Fawns Wetland Dragonfly Flyover

The wonderful scene is another one of my game trail camera amazing captures as the Dragonflies Hunt Mosquitos overhead. This fawn down in the wetlands was in the high grass on the muddy lake edge.. The automatic camera captured it dead center of the frame. Game Trail Cameras us Infra-red motion detection to trigger the shutter and like any automatic camera, will snap what is in front of them. Depending on the lighting, Game Trail Cameras can even take a good photo now and then. This is an amazing shot from one of the cantankerous things.

As I’ve said a few times before, each and every one has problems but this one is a pretty good capture. It took virtually no work to fix the built in image issues of the Game Trail camera. I get captures like this because 1: I run a lot of cameras with 29 currently in the network. 2: I place them in unusual places with viewpoints that are not just on a post at animal neck level. I often put cameras very low looking up or in places like this where it’s obvious by the trails that game frequents the area. Setting a camera up too high would resultsin the capture getting the tip of it’s ears. Properly setting it low in the spring just about promised me it would catch a fawn.

One of the few things you have control of with Game Trail Cameras is where you put them. I could write a chapter on placing game trail cameras.
