My two companions coming out of Chawngchilhi cave located on the roadside on Aizawl-Lunglei road via Thenzawl (World bank road) at the vicinity of Buangpui village. The cave is associated with the folktale of a damsel falling in love with a snake( story available on line).

Aka "Lengpui Airport" is the pride of Mizoram State in India. It is probably one of the smallest Airport in the Country. The Airport is also one of the dangerous Airport to land in during monsson. Be preapared with extra days, if travel during monsson for there is greater chances that one might turn around the Airport and return to Kolkata again

I was fortunate enough to be in Mizoram for Chapchar Kut 2010. The tribal people came from all over the state to take part in the Cheraw which took place at the Assam rifles ground and along the main street in Aizawl city.
