Access Select attended the CIPD - Annual HR Conference and Exhibition (ACE) which took place in November in Manchester.
Visitors not only had the chance to speak to exhibitors but also attend the conference, which covered an interesting range of topics.
Throughout the day, our customer and resident HR manager Karina Rook of the Royal Society gave us a regular update, "I went to an exciting and forward thinking session on helping HR understand how to assess the impact of their strategic decisions on organisational success. The focus was on how HR can add value - and prove it.
"By analysing employee performance and then comparing this on a department by department basis, it enables HR to relate this to the output of the business. It was good to see that we can demonstrate how our efforts are contributing to organisational success. This strategic view is more in line with other departments and goes beyond the traditional measures such as absence.
