This is the back side of the Schlage LiNK KPD.

The black shiny plastic cover on the top portion is where the RF (radio frequency) chip is housed in the lock. This is the part that speaks to your cell phone and to Z-wave (www.zwave.com or check out link.schlage.com for more info).

I have to set up the lock to the bridge (wireless router) RF signal so from my cell phone can monitor who comes in and out of the house using a four-digit access code on the keypad lock.

Because I was a newbie-it took me about thirty minutes to remove the old KPD I had in the door and replace it with the Schlage LiNK KPD, I've been told if you already have experience with installing these lock it will only take you five or ten minutes to uninstall/install unless you have some issues with the size of the deadbolt hole or other measurement issues.

This is the Thermostat with the name "Toon van Eneco".
