Covington, La 1 mile walk and 5k benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project

With a time of 25:57 for 5K she finished 3rd in Women's 30-39. She was also the first of the winners to give thanks to those who have fallen in service to our country. That is what Memorial Day is about, folks, and is why the announcer has his fist in the air and head down. Remember those who gave all.

Covington, La 1 mile walk and 5k benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project

Riders from the Wounded Warriors Project left from Veterans Memorial Park in Beeville on March 14 for their ride to Portland, Texas. The riders, who are raising awareness to the plight of wounded soldiers, were expected to arrive in Portland later that afternoon. The riders started their journey in Beeville and have made similar rides in other parts of the country.
