Had clear skies for a while last night and I was finally able to get out and try to capture the comet (2022 E3 ZTF). Found that a single image worked better than a stack for this, and I hope to try again a little later this week and shoot it a bit different to see if I can capture the tail as well. Kinda fun trying to figure out how best to capture different night sky objects, but challenging since time is limited and the cold can limit the amount of time allotted to try different things :)

I noticed that even though it was around 11pm that it was still pretty bright out, so i decided to try some long exposure HDR of it. It wasn't quite this bright, but it was the bright of freshly fallen snow with city lights.

Snow has been in the UK since the weekend but it finally arrived in London late last night. I went out to Highbury Fields for today’s picture. I was happy snapping away and was equally happy the results using the landscape mode on my SLR which didn’t use the flash. I was quite surprised because the images came out so bright and clear.
Then I experimented with flash and I was glad I did. They came out a lot darker and provided an eerie atmosphere to the quiet late afternoon. I just really pleased with the falling snow in this image, they remind me of fire flies. Not that I’ve every seen any for real!
Playing with direct flash, a homemade "Big Bounce" diffuser, and bouncing off larger more distant objects (the ceiling). Then compiled some photos into a collage.
