"VILLAGE WITH A VIBE

From the moment you arrive in Whistler Village, nestled at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, it’s apparent that this is a resort village unlike any other you’ve ever experienced.

Yes, the rumors are true: it’s absolutely massive, but in a way you’re going to really love. With its endless array of shops, cafés and bars, restaurants and legendary aprés nightlife, the pedestrian-only Village is a destination unto itself, a one-of-a-kind confluence of two massive mountains, unique to North America, with an energy and style that are the envy of resorts around the world.

Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely stroll along its stone walkways, some people-watching from its countless sunny patios, exploring the fun-filled family playgrounds, or launching your next on-mountain adventure, Whistler Village delivers a recipe of winter magic that simply can’t be matched." www.whistlerblackcomb.com/explore-the-resort/the-village/...

Most people have heard that Whistler Blackcomb is one of North America's largest ski resorts. But the charming, Euro-style, pedestrian-only village at the base of the twin mountains is also a huge draw.

Whistler Village is the area located at the base of the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. The place features a large selection of shops, restaurants, bars and hotels, as well as other things to see and do. Whistler Village is pedestrian-friendly, with a multitude of paved trails and the pedestrian-only Village Stroll.

The Beach at Lost Lake, Whistler, has become increasingly orange over the past few years, It must be minerals like Iron? or an Algae bloom? I cant find any info on it.

Do you know why the water is orange?

In any case it makes a cool scene with the blue sky, long exposure and fluffy clouds in motion. very Apocalyptic!

I was waiting for the traffic to subside before driving home , so i decided to go for a hike on rainbow mountain. I always wanted to find this spot, one of the best view of the resort!

It's known as one of the best places in the world to ski/board. It also has great poutine. It's a no brainer, really.

Height has been one of my fears since I was a kid. That is why I dislike riding on a roller coaster. When my friends asked me to go down a hill with them. It took me awhile to overcome my fear. That hill was so steep that I hesitated awhile before going down with my friends.

In the end, I fell around 4 to 5 times which wasn't too bad. But I still regret my decision as I could go to a easier route... :\
