Currently I can't recall if I documented the skirt/belt/shoes before, but I do wear them quite often.....
I had this big elaborate plan that this morning THRIFTING would be my top priority and anything else would come secondary. When it came down to it, the adult voice in my head said "You are already planning to go to the fleamarket this weekend AND you've been meaning to dig out your out-of-season clothes. Like you need to go get MORE clothes today". So I spent my morning rediscovering various things that I tucked away during the winter months.
Including this dress. Should I even call it a dress? From the style (and label) at best it was originally a house dress, but I have a sneaking suspicion it was a nightgown (since a friend's mother&grandmother wore nightgowns just like this, back when I was a youngin).
When I thrifted it, I immediately fell in love with the pattern/colors. The purpley/blue was exactly the same color as my first car! Ahhh, the memories......
So non-meant-to-be-worn-in-public-dress be damned, this is something to be worn in public!

Holy geeze! I found me some thrifted tights that actually fit!!
I went into depth about it on my blog but to summarize....
- The raspberry tights look fantastic with the dress that I thrifted on the same trip.
- Despite his initial reservations, mister.boyfriend is thrilled by the new dress.
- My new dress made for a very comfortable morning while working on the computer.
When I left the house in the afternoon, I paired the dress with my vintage wool blazer. One of the few purchases I made off of the French Ebay, according to the seller the jacket was part of an usherettes uniform at a theater in Paris during the 1940's.
