Weekly Yumminess 1/52

One of my new years resolutions is to cook more from scratch this year. Feel free to join my group if you like cooking :) Try out a new recipe every week and post the results in the group. www.flickr.com/groups/weekly_yumminess2011/

From: Jamie Oliver's 30 Minute Meals

Verdict: Took me a bit longer than 30 minutes to prepare, but it was worth it.. really liked it! I forgot to buy coriander though and had to throw out a lot of the mango I got for the salad, but it was still really tasty! Will be making this again.

185 p. A vintage cat puzzle, unfortunately I don't now its age. Non interlocking pieces which makes it a challenge to put together! Also the colors are a bit faded, I had to add some color to the photo:)

I finished it yesterday, January 21, 2006, and it took me nearly 2 hours.

Our fancy pants street lights in Blacksburg still have the holiday decorations on them. I assume, then, that they aren't holiday decorations, but seasonal decorations -- i.e. winter.

This is for the USK Weekly Theme... which I normally don't participate in. Shame on me.

My weekly loot: two Fire King Candle Glow (Candleglow?) dishes, one Pyrex loaf, two Libbey (?) strawberry glasses and one very kitchy Don Ho glass.

Where did you get your outfit? Can’t remember

How long did it take you to get ready? 20 mins

What’s it like to wear? Feels great

B&W Flora - Don’t get me wrong I love the intensity and variety of the colour of flowers and plants - but there is something about their form and texture which only B&W images shows off.

So get out in the garden, the countryside - or just pick up a houseplant and see how beautiful these plants can be - without their colour.

Restriction:

Just to keep things interesting - no trees - that’s a separate challenge altogether. So its flowers, vegetables, shrubs or grasses.

Dare:

Get up real close and have a go at a macro shot and make the ordinary look extraordinary.

WIT: found this in a garden centre in Lusaka, Zambia, B&W conversion, crop, some contrast adjustment

Weekly Theme: Home/"Day in the Life"

This was Beretta and I this morning. Lazy to get out of bed and off the heated blanket.

Mitt i ett flyttäventyr har vi hamnat. Många fina stunder har det blivit på Slottsgatan, men nu är det dags för ett nytt kapitel.

A seamstress friend was trying to tidy up all her stuff and I saw this pile of tangled thread by her very nice antique Singer Sewing Machine. Cropped, upped contrast.
