View allAll Photos Tagged Week,
This time the change of seasons is more visible in my pictures.
Spring and summer are in the first row and autumn and winter in the second row.
No snow again in winter but at least it was frosty.
i had a shooting with a very good friend today :)
i'm happy about the photos we took so i uploaded one.
maybe i'll take some more this week, so it could be that i'll upload a second at the end of the week :D
i hope you like it :)

I've decided to carry my dilapidated 366 project on in the form of a weekly photo instead. The project will be a fifty-two week long makeup adventure.
I liked the weird angle of my face here.
i took this a while ago.. actually last friday i think :)
this little leave really made my day!
it's incredible that this is still green while all the other trees have no leaves at all :)
i hope that you all had a nice christmas!! <3

Wow, this is my first black and white in this project!
Anyway, this is about the necklace, simple.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban has always been my favourite book, and the one i have re-read (and re-listened to with Stephen Fry) the most. I suppose its because its the one where Voldermort never makes an appearance and instead of loosing at the end Harry gains a new family member.
My favourite chapter has always been the Knight Bus and i actually hated what they did with it in the film, that little head just creeped me out and i couldn't stand it!.
But yeah, when i was shopping this week i saw this necklace, it reminded me of the Time Turner and i just loved the idea of it, that you could just turn back time and help those who need it. So i had to buy it!
Anyways, hope you have had a good week, i will be here next week :) Down hill to the end now...

É o que eu mais desejo agora - um pouco de descanso! Essa semana é a última semana de aulas, e provavelmente a semana mais exaustiva que eu vou ter no ano. Eu preciso de férias.

Week 52 - 31 December 2015
Final post for the year, and it has to be Owen. We've had the pleasure of having Owen and his little sister over for the holidays and it really brings the family much joy to have this little munchkin around.
So happy new year and here's to another 52 weeks. More next week.
The theme this week was a two-parter. Pull Up Your Socks And Use a Unique Perspective.
I thought I'd add a sexy noir twist this week.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this location changes over the seasons.

National Nurses Week 2025 is here! This year the American Nurses Enterprise is shining a light on The Power of Nurses. We recognize the invaluable contributions of nurses worldwide and the real-life challenges they face every day. Whether you're a nurse, a healthcare professional, a patient, or simply someone who appreciates the critical role nurses play in our lives and society, National Nurses Week is the perfect time to share your gratitude and celebrate nurses. Be sure to thank a nurse. They are the glue that holds the healthcare system together.
Prompt: Illustration of a nurse. The nurse is standing in a medical setting, wearing a white uniform with a red cross on her hat and a stethoscope around her neck. She is holding a clipboard and smiling. The background features medical equipment, including a blue syringe, a box of gloves, and a medical chart on a table. The text "HAPPY NURSES WEEK" is written in large letters, with the date "May 6 - 12 " written in smaller letters.

Week 4 - The cock up...
So another week, same old room. I'd planned on getting out this week had a whole separate shoot in mind. Then life interrupts and dinner needs cooking and blah blah blah... So this was taken in between all the prep and cooking of a Sunday roast.
Strobist info:
Canon 430 EXII - 1/16th - Softbox - Camera Left and high
Nikon SB-900 - 64th - Umbrella - Camera left and low.
I'll post the setup shot later.
I needed to do a bit of research this week to discover more about what is intended by abstract photography. There are many reference points available but perhaps the most succinct description I came across is:
- Does not represent the subject in a literal way.
- Communicates primarily through form, colour and curves (or in my case, lines) rather than image detail.
I hope I have at least approximated this view of abstraction with my image this week. In processing the image I wanted to try to avoid having any lines that were perfectly vertical, horizontal or diagonal. No doubt someone will find a line in there somewhere that breaks my self-imposed rule!
In case anyone wants to hazard a guess at it, I won't reveal yet what the 'real world' object is that I photographed. :-)

too busy this week, couldn't resist to fingerpaint a modigliani copy :)
Yep, had to go for the water reflection shot! Rather than tie a bag overhead and let drops fall from a pinprick I decided to use a teaspoon to drop the water. Used a colourful magazine page as backdrop.
Strobist info: My 430ex was set to 1/8 power and was just out of shot on the right (hence slightly blown out area there).
This is Tinna Sigurðardóttir, 25 years old, she is my baby sister. She is very much an outdoor and action kind of girl, she travels a lot, is a diving instructor and a riverrafting/tour guide, has a licence to drive big trucks and regularly takes tourists to the most interesting locations here in Iceland. In fact I am getting so fat and out of shape I am sure she could kick my ass if she wanted to, something that was inconceivable a couple of years ago.
I was originally going use her as week 48 and take her photos while we were diving (see the story by week 48) but she broke her arm two days before we were going diving so that was obviously impossible, she unfortunately won´t be able to go diving till next year. Well I still wanted her for this project as I wanted everyone in my immediate family in it so I just shuffled the weeks around and got her boyfriend Ingó to model last week so she could take it easy for two weeks before this photoshoot.
Well since she had this huge cast on her arm we decided to do something with it and shot this the day before she got a much smaller cast. Henný did all the makeup and hair. The idea is that you really are supposed to look at this shot and just wonder "What the f**k happened to that girl???". Ingó did the artwork on the cast and he owns that brown club you just barely see the handle of there in the lower right corner, that´s an original old school police club.
Lighting is 4 lights, one big softbox from the front, two smaller from either side of Tinna behind her and a fourth with a honeycomb shooting at the black backround.
My first attempt at a water pour. I've seen wines pours done and have meant to try it out. This weeks theme of "colors" inspired me to try give it a whirl...using the primary colors as part of the composition. It took quite a few attempts with each color and these are the best of what I had to work with. Enjoy.
My boyfriend and I have been to Disney in Concert and I just love to hear all the songs and even sing along.
Keeping it real this week and taking my photo in front of the giant pile of baby stuff we've accumulated but have yet to deal with. (This is in addition to the stuff we've actually put away and the piles of stuff in our bedroom.)
Remind me to tell you about the time my midwife made me pee all over my hand... and then I'll tell you about how it's now impossible to bend over, how I've given up on wearing any bra besides a sleep bra, and how I gained 24 pounds in the first 26 weeks of pregnancy. That's right folks, I'm a buck fifty and PROUD.
Also, no more ice cream. Or bread.
Niblet weighs over two pounds now, and she's 14 inches long. Her eyes opened for the first time this week! We can't wait to find out what color those peepers are. I feel her kicking in multiple places at once, and she seems to get more active every day. She kicks all over my belly, under my ribs, and sometimes she stomps on my cervix which is super fun, let me tell you. This Sunday is exactly three months until my due date... holy mackerel. Kid's gonna be here before we know it and I still can't believe I'm pregnant.
Time flies! In 8-13 weeks, this baby will be ready to be born! I'm very excited, and sometimes a bit nervous as well: Will I be a good mom? How will I like having a baby? Will I be able to make it happy? Most of the time though, I am just enjoying everything.
I am getting very curious who it is inside of me. A little boy like everyone thinks? Or will the baby suprise everyone and turn out to be a girl? Will he or she look like me, or like Mark, or a mix of both of us? And what personality will the baby have?
on my day off this week, me, mum and colin went for a walk, through bingley and into the woods, these ruins were in the woods, i love them :o) definately be going back there to get more pics ;o) we ended up in wilsden where we caught the bus back to bingley, some lovely lady gave me her day rider ticket as she was getting off the bus so i got to ride for free, woohoo, how sweet is that?! :o)
works been okay, had to yell at a lady (i caught her with her shoes off, spraying loads of deodarent on her feet, ugh!!) i told her she'd have to pay for the spray to which she replied 'oh, am i not allowed to do that?!... erm no, stupid woman!!!).
got to work with sarah friday and saturday (which is always good :o)
had some news today, alexs uncle died :o( i only met him once but he was a lovey man, its so sad.......
