I live across the street from this drug store. This is where I get my heart medication from. I've know the clerks who work there for decades. I watched looters for hours while the San Francisco police stood by & not make a single arrest. So sad to see this insanity.
this is probably the only Walgreens that I know that doesn't have a pharmacy. so basically it's an oversized and IMO overpriced convenience store

235 East Mercury Boulevard, Hampton, VA
This location was built and opened in 2003 and closed on March 9th, 2020. It became a Dollar Tree in July 2021.
The site originally housed Gulf Majik Market, which opened in the late 1970s. It became a Chevron in the late 1980s.

You can see Target off in the distance.
Recently closed Walgreens store in Bel Air MD. Closed July 17 2015 and opened in 2009. Store replaced an Amoco gas station.

Store #11461, 800 E. Lincoln Hwy; opened in 2012. Apparently wasn't able to compete with the existing Rite Aid closer to the center of town (despite it being much smaller) or the drugstores further east towards Thorndale, and closed March 2020. According to the window sign prescription files were sold to the CVS on Reeceville Rd, which is two and a half miles away. Unlike in Woodbury, NJ where Rite Aid moved into the vacant Walgreens, they haven't shown any interest in doing so here.

This location opened in 2014; it was originally a Rite Aid, which was built and opened in 1996. It became Kerr Drug #515 in the 2000s.

This is the Walgreens drug store located at 1775 West Highway 192 in the London Shopping Center in London, KY. It originally opened in September 2009 as one of many Walgreens stores in the London/Corbin/Somerset area.
Store #4922, 12 S. Black Horse Pike; opened in 2000 as one of the earlier Walgreens in south NJ. Closed July 2015 due to proximity to a newer store in Mt. Ephraim a mile north; currently vacant. UPDATE: Has been demolished as of summer 2017; a Royal Farms is being built in it's place (one of their first in southern NJ, as they expand from MD/ VA into Wawa territory).
Walgreens Drug Store sits abandoned at the closed Dixie Square Mall just before it was remodeled into Toys R Us for filming of The Blues Brothers.

This Walgreens seems to be rebranding itself as a British pharmacy chain called "Boots"... More info will come, as I find it.

This building was built by Safeway back in the early 80's they operated it until spinning off the Houston division as "Apple Tree Market" in 1991. Apple Tree operated this location for 2 years until it was sold to Rice Food Markets. Rice ran the store until 2012, when it was sold to The Fresh Market which only lasted a few months. Walgreens moved in in the beginning of 2015. Some original Safeway elements do still exist on the outside. The arched overhang is original, along with the protruding entryway. The doors were originally on the sides of the entryway with the Courtesy desk sitting about where the entrance is now. The space was originally much larger when Safeway, Apple Tree, and Rice were tenants. With the arched overhang extending the full length of the building. Under The Fresh Market the space was subdivided and fully remodeled. Under Rice many original Safeway elements existed in the store. Such as centrally located open air fridges which had been re purposed as Wine and Cheese Storage. The produce cases were also original to Safeway and Rice utilized the original plastic stands which clipped onto the cases to provide extra space. The original loading bays from Safeway are still used by Walgreens although one now holds a dumpster as the original location for the dumpster is now used as an Ambulance Entrance by an Urgent Care who is leasing the subdivided space. Due to the small size of this location there is no pharmacy drive-thru.
