Apologies for the 'I've just poo'd my pants' face, but it aint every day you meet the world's most wanted man . . I mean who the fuck would've thought he'd rock up at a pre-carnival samba-set warm-up in Sao Paolo.. I still can't work out if he thought it was funny when I frisked him before having a photo.
Showing the whitemetal parts fitting around the Bachmann N gauge chassis. The tanks were painted first as they sit very close to the boiler once assembled and painting into the gap would have been a pain.
On 30 May 1965 WD 90076 is stabled with a Jubilee on Wakefield Shed (56A). The loco was allocated to the shed from March 1959, moving to nearby Normanton (55E) in July 1967 and finally to West Hartlepool (51C) in August 1967, only to be withdrawn a month later when steam finished in the area. Its final move was to the scrapyard of Arnott Young Dinsdale.
