From a family Easter vacation at Skagen, Denmark - April 21, 2019.
Here we are in the area near Flagbakken and the sand-covered church.
The stage is empty, the seats are full of ghosts — and she stands alone, actor and witness at once.

One of my favorite solitary trees in costume of season. I saw this tree from afar and decided to delay my departure to trek closer to it as I only had a 100mm lens with me. From the spot where this is taken I would have had to trudge in deep snow, and did not have the proper shoes or clothes for that, so this is cropped. I've also edited this more than I usually do to get the image you see to match what I saw in my mind.

"Su quella nuvola"
Evaporo nelle mie emozioni... il sonno
inquieto rilegge poveri dolori umani,
li attraversa come quando si ascolta
la pausa rotolante dei sospiri stanchi.
A rincorrere l'ultima foglia... mordo
gli odori dei singhiozzi,
essenze di grovigli condensati.
Su quella nuvola di passaggio...osservo
le stagioni passare e treme il cigolio
di rinmanerci assopitina vestire passanti
inconsapevoli che ritornano dalle ombre
di verità riscaldate, come nude sensazioni.
Sull'arenile o su quella sponda mi adaggio...
e provo il gusto del senso, l'alma umana
rimuove l'argento di un dolore.
( poesia di Gianni Terminiello)

Le onde si infrangono come sospiri antichi,
e Camogli veglia sull’orizzonte dei ricordi.

Waves break like ancient sighs,
while Camogli watches over the horizon of memories.

This is from the exhibition called Out of Chaos.
a moment suspended in stillness. she reaches toward the window not to escape, but to feel the warmth of the light — as if its presence might speak. between the rhythm of shadows and the silence of iron bars, there’s a calm defiance. she isn’t waiting. she’s listening.

The photo is taken at the Black Bascule Light north of the town.
Through hands shaped like a heart, she gazes — curious, playful, and quietly powerful.
In this black-and-white portrait, simplicity becomes intimacy.
The hands form more than a gesture; they frame her soul.
Anna’s look is both childlike and wise — a visual metaphor of openness and the silent language of connection.

through the round embrace of shadow, a palm stands like a cathedral spire against the pale sky of palma, while a lone figure drifts beneath its arching leaves, a quiet witness to the poetry of summer’s stillness
his face was gold and still, like a relic left in a forgotten corner. the city blurred behind him, a soft phantom of people, buildings, noise – and he, a man who didn’t quite belong to it. the light painted a diagonal path to him, the way cinema sometimes carves significance out of the mundane. i held my breath and took the shot.

There is no urgency here.
No need to prove, to perform, to pursue.
Only the grace of being known,
and the comfort of being still
in the presence of someone
who has seen every version of you
and still remains.
"Sometimes it’s the way he looks at me. Sometimes it’s just how he stands—like the world could fall and he’d still hold me steady. All I know is, I need him to stay."

the beluga drifts in slow circles. nowhere to go. nowhere to hide. just small, perfect loops. over and over.
the people stare through glass. through screens. capturing life they barely see.
the beluga moves again. another circle. another round.
I used a Canon MT-24EX Macro Twin Lite Flash triggered from a hand held Canon RC-6 Wireless Remote Control. The twin lights were detached, one placed in front of the photo albums, the other was hand held behind the second album to create the “glow” on the pages. A common flashlight was placed behind the first album to create page “glow”. A Vello Bounce Dome Diffuser was used to tone down the flash.
Light passes through, hesitates, disperses.
In the cherry blossoms, it does not only reveal spring — it writes its own substance.
