First Odonta of the year for us. It's been quite a cold spring in Devon so they seem late this year.
I reckon this is Calopteryx virgo rather than Calopteryx splendens as the wings were brownish rather than greenish, but I'm no expert.
This was about 400-500yds from a small urban stream and I was lucky to get close enough as I only had a 45mm lens with me (this is a 50% crop).
