I'm one of 6360 men living in Brielle, it’s a great place to live and I love it. The fortified town of Brielle (largely 17th century ) along with the canals and old houses is photographed frequently. This serie is not about all these historic A-sides.
What it is about? Let's see what images will come, I just started. There is certainly more beauty and still life than only the obvious things. So let's call it Brielle B-sides. It’s sounds highly intelligent that B-sides also pronounced besides. But that's a coincidence that I found out afterwards.
*The municipality Brielle consists of the villages Brielle, Vierpolders and Zwartewaal.
Pumpkins - colorful and in many shapes and forms. Also called Winter squash, an annual fruit representing several species of the Cucurbita. Harvested and eaten in the mature fruit stage when the seeds within have matured fully and the skin has hardened into a tough rind. At this stage, most varieties of this fruit can be stored or used for decorative and culinairy purposes for months to come.

Pompoenfair - a popular event at "Kwekerij Roest" until 2018, but now an annual event in Brielle. With of course many types of Pumpkins where it seems as if all the colorful colors of last summer have come together. This event is highly recommended, both decorative and culinary

A nice little farmhouse hidden in de polder of Vierpolders on the island of Voorne-Putten, in the Netherlands.
Esterenburg Farm, one of the many historical sites and structures at the Voorne-Putten region. This monumental farm dates back to 1738. Nowadays it's almost a view back into history, over time nothing or very little has changed and only those with a sharp eye see what brings this farm into today's time.
In history it was originally a farm and owned by a wealthy family, who leased the use of the land and the building to a farmer. Because the owner sometimes stayed on the farm in the summer, such a farm could be given the character of a country estate. The Esterenburg is one of the most authentic farms in the region.

Vierpolders
Vierpolders is a small village in the Dutch province of South Holland part of the municipality of Brielle. The name of the village, literally "four polders", refers to the municipality, that consisted of the polders Nieuwland, Veckhoek, Oud-Helvoet, and Oude-Gote. The village and the municipality were previously also named "Nieuwland".

An impression of autumn while standing on the Dorpsdijk in the hamlet of Vierpolders on the island of Voorne, in the Netherlands.
It was my friend Wim van Willegen who showed me where to find this hidden treasure of an old and restored farmhouse in the hamlet of Vierpolders on the island of Voorne-Putten in the Netherlands. I was glad I checked it out.
Het asyl voor oude en gebrekkige zeelieden is een nationaal geschenk aan Brielle ter gelegenheid van de viering in 1872 van 300 jaar bevrijding door de watergeuzen. Het is gebouwd in 1874-1875 naar het ontwerp van architect Cornelis Outshoorn.
Het had eigenlijk een hofje moeten vormen; door geldgebrek is het nooit voltooid. De rechter vleugel is betaald door de kunstverzamelaar Alexander VerHuell, wiens monogram in het schild boven de entree is aangebracht.
Bij de hoofdentree zijn de wapens te zien van Brielle en Vierpolders. Het vrijheidsbeeld "de Nymf" werd in 1873 door Koning Willem 111 onthuld.
Zij wijst in de richting van de Maasmond waar vandaan de geuzen met hun vloot naar Brielle kwamen.

Then moved to Europe and in use on the Island Corsica. Finally moved to our yard in Vierpolders and is now being refurbished.
