Self explanatory as it seems, this image is not exactly about food and eating itself. It is more of a metaphor about the bad things we say and do to ourselves when we cannot forgive our own mistakes. See art prints here: bit.ly/glutonous-pig

This peice is a result of an hour of pouring my anger onto the computer screen through the use of various brushes downloaded from bittbox.com. The theme had been stuck in my head for a while and it came out better than i had expected. Thanks Joe for being a jerk because otherwise, this wouldn't have happened!
If you are interested in using this for anything please tell me and let me know because otherwise its just one step towards online theft!

This was something that I quickly made earlier today for an event we're hosting in August for RMAI Pastors within our district.
This is the screen graphic version of a flyer that had a lot more info, so I opted to upload the prettier version.
We've got a little bit before the event, so if you guys have any thoughts on how to improve this a bit, I'd appreciate the feedback!
I personally wouldn't consider this a "logo" due to certain design choices, but it is the masthead for an email newsletter for Kingdom First Business Alliance (a ministry out of my church for business leaders, etc.)
Any type of feedback is welcome.
Something I worked up today for a swap meet we are doing in April for moms in our church that can help give some things away to others that may need what they have.
The audience is for moms of all ages.
I wasn't given any direction, but decided to go with something genuinely fun and felt the 50s retro style really helped elevate the whole idea of the event. Besides, I haven't had a chance to do something like this in a long time, so hey, why not now. I broke a few rules with type, but oh well.
There will be some other things I'll be creating for this, some small table signs and hand out flyers. If I get a little crazier with them I'll be sure to share the final outcome.
Let me know your thoughts and if you have any suggestions since I actually have a while before this needs to be seen.

We're already getting hot and heavy with Christmas media and event finalizing.
Finished this up a bit earlier because it was a bit of a rush so that we can get some flyer/cards printed that we'll be putting in small bibles we're wrapping with wrapping paper and passing out at a city Christmas parade in early December. Quite excited about it, and happy with how this has turned out.
Let me know what you guys think, and what you would have done differently with a quick (within 4 hours of a meeting) deadline. My creative process was GREATLY squished and stream lined for this one. Still went through basically every phase though. It's amazing how you can optimize your workflow when the pressure is on.
This is just the in-house still screen graphic. I might add some motion later on in early December to add a bit more fun to it though. So don't worry, all the other advertisements (flyers, cards, etc.) have a lot more info about the church on em (address, website, phone, etc.)
Anyway, bring on the comments and such.

I created all of the artwork for the Annapolis Opera’s 2018-2019 season, including graphics for their production of Bizet’s Carmen. The next frames in the album contain all of the pages for the printed show program. The program was laid out using Adobe InDesign and pulls in elements created in Photoshop and Illustrator.
Out of the season’s eight shows, creating the artwork for Carmen was definitely my favorite. The concept came together with ease. The silhouette of the eponymous Carmen dominates the artwork. She is seductive and a bit risqué. Her flamenco style dress doubles as a rose, with its center directly between her spread legs. To bring her to life I highlighted her lip, fan and an earring in the golden yellow color that is part of the season’s palette.
The title is placed dramatically above her head and the Seville skyline in Adorn Coronet. The other font used is Charcuterie Block. Depending on the layout the main elements of rose-decorated fan, skyline and Carmen herself became larger or smaller to accommodate changes in ratio.
The collateral for the show includes web banners, thumbnail for use on web and in print, postcard, various print ads, a restaurant table card, large format 5x9’ banner, and the 40-page show program.
My overarching goal for the Annapolis Opera 2018-2019 season was to have a cohesive visual brand that carried across all eight productions, and especially tied together the two main-stage shows (the other one being Rossini’s Barber of Seville, which opened the season.) I did this by using the same color palette (reds & yellows) and textures in every production. Additionally, by limiting myself to three fonts I created unity. For titles and subheadings, I used either the script font Adorn Coronet with its many ligatures and swoops, or Charcuterie Block. I started the season with Adorn Roman, but this font did not have any variations in weight, so I ended up changing to Acuta after the first program. The first three fonts were all created by Laura Worthington, so they worked well together. Additionally, silhouettes, and cutouts feature prominently in the artwork of almost all eight shows.
