Hope is the strongest driving force for people. Hope which brings about change, which produces new realities, is what opens man's road to freedom. Once hope has taken hold, courage must unite with wisdom. That is the only way of avoiding violence, the only way of maintaining the calm one needs to respond peacefully to offenses.

Bandabuliya is as central to Nicosia’s future as it was to its past. As sites of intense social and economic interaction, markets define and reflect the history and culture of their surroundings. From ancient to more recent times, traders crossing the Mediterranean Sea used markets as conduits to circulate products and even ideas from one world to another. Today, as appreciation for historic city centers grows around the world, traditional food markets are being celebrated for their economic, social and cultural value.
