UKG Girls on an vent during boy's football competition match (Ahmediyya School Inter Class Football Competetion for UKG - 2007)
...seen in Marsh Farm estate whilst heading back to Luton town centre. At the time of uploading there are very few of this type with Arriva nationwide, with this example being the last remaining at Luton. New to Arriva Fox County in July 2002, primarily for route 127 between Leicester and Loughborough.
East London Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC 11022 (YX68 UKG) is seen here at Stratford on TfL route 241 to Stratford City. It was new to the fleet in September 2018.
Working service 48 from Great Missenden train station is Arriva The Shires & Essex (FD02UKG 4721) a DAF DB250 with East Lancs bodywork seen passing through Heat End village heading to High Wycombe bus station. New to Arriva Midlands in 2002 as 4721.
East Lancs didn't get the RVDC contract again in 1978, and as a result two pairs of Willowbrook Leopards arrived that year, two each of PSU3 and PSU4.
23 is one of the 11-metre pair, and outlasted its twin 24 by a long time - the latter was withdrawn at 9 years old in 1978, and dismantled, although to be fair, the bodywork was probably taking care of that aspect itself !
23 was sold to Davies Bros of Pencader after RVDC folded, and a year later passed to nearby Ffoshelig Coaches in 1990. It returned to Davies in 1994, and ran for them until 1997.
Caerphilly bus station, 17/6/86
Davies Bros. 220 is a Leyland Leopard PSU3E/2R with Willowbrook bodywork, new in 1978 as Rhymney Valley 23. Acquired by Davies in 1989 from Inter Valley Link (no. 71), it was sold on in 1990 to Jones (Ffoshelig Coaches), Newchurch, but returned to Davies Bros. in 1994.
South Wales Transport 645 is a Bristol RELL6L with Marshall bodywork. One of a batch of twenty ordered by Western Welsh, it is one of five which actually entered service with Western Welsh (no. 803) in 1971, the remaining fifteen being diverted to South Wales. The original five followed in 1972 when WW's Neath Abbey garage and its buses were transferred to South Wales.

The S1 Vixen was introduced in 1967 as a replacement for the TVR Grantura Although it used the same chassis as the outgoing car, the significant change was the use of the 1599 cc Ford Kent engine (as found in the Ford Cortina), developing 88 bhp.. Its fibre glass body was slightly revised with the bonnet receiving nostril style air intake scoops, and at the rear round Ford Cortina tail lights. The TVR theme of a multi backbone frame, all independant suspension and the stubby glass fibre body continued.
The Series 2, of 1968-72 was built with a longer 90 inch wheelbase chassis, the bonnet was restyled again, with some early cars having a prominent central bulge, and later cars having twin intake ducts at the front corners of the bonnet. The tail lamps were updated from the round Cortina Mark I style to the newer wraparound Mark II style. Also very significant was the fact that the body was bolted (rather than bonded) to the chassis, meaning that it could be easily removed for repairs.
The S3 (1970-72) continued to improve with a number of changes. The heat extraction vents on the bonnet were decorated with Aeroflow grilles borrowed from the Ford Zodiac Mark IV and the Ford engine was now the same tune as the Capri at 92bhp. nstead of wire wheels, cast alloy wheels were fitted as standard.
The final car of the series, the Series 4 (1972-73) was an intrim model that used the TVR M Series chassis with the Vixen body shell. Apart from the chassis, there were no significant mechanical or cosmetic changes between the S3 and S4. Twenty-two were built in 1972 and one in 1973.
