Just a table top shot with white BG..........u can see the reflection of tubelight in each bead.......And thats my lighting equip...........
Lol, I'm laughing at the first few run in comments ...1,2,3 ...u guys have a sense of humor ;-)
This is a single exposure - RAW. Converted to grayscale. tuned sliders (color) to accentuate the lit clouds (in color this level of intensity did'nt come up). The sun just about rising to the right spewed some great light. Some amount of light painting for the jetty.
It was still dark , as you can see the tubelight in the kelong.
Oh yeah sorry this image is from 2 exposures....one long exp for the water.
Life's gone haywire. Obviously. And to add to the fun, the creatures around here provide their own form of unadulterated entertainment. There was this awesome war/battle/judgment day level thing that happened right at the entrance of my hostel. These weird ants, at some stage of their growth get wings and stuff and they go nuts, lose their common sense if they ever had it in the first place, and they swarm towards all sources of light. So, when I walked into the hostel on that particular night (2 am i think), there was this entire battalion of these stupid ant things, and there were about 10-15 frogs on the floor. Those frogs were completely intoxicated (imagine me in front of a gigantic vegetarian feast) and they just sat there, shooting
their tongues out in every direction, completely feasting on the stupid ant things. I stood there for a few minutes, transfixed by the glory of the one-sided battle. Then I stopped behaving like one of those stupid ant things and brought out my cam. Took a few shots, even though I was getting those icky stupid ant things sitting on my shirt. Sheesh, it was insane. Those frikkin' frogs were bloating up like hell. I mean, they didn't give a shite about their waistline. They were just gobbling up each and every one of those stupid ant things that came withing striking range. They themselves
were covered with stupid ant things. Next morning, under every visible tubelight in my hostel there were millions of wings belonging to the deceased stupid ant things lying around. The sweepers went home with the worst backache they could have expected. And the frogs didn't appear for a few days. I bet their tummies got so screwed, food wouldn't cross their one track minds for a few days.
Messed up most of the shots I took because I left the camera on manual mode, using the settings I had used for the last shot (the one with the drop).
All the brownish stuff you see in the background consists of stupid ant
things flying around, wings of dead stupid ant things, pieces of stupid ant
things scattered after a frog duel, and regurgitated bits of stupid ant things. The frog in the forefront is one of the smallest I saw that day.

These photos are indeed real and were taken from this planet, if you were wondering. The tube light paintings were also something new to me. Before our PhotoPills adventure in Menorca, I would probably have had no idea how it would work and how much fun it actually would be!

Altaf enjoys a smoke as the rain washes down the streets of Mazgoan road in central Mumbai. February Rain on the morning of the 11th breaks the monotony of his morning as he stands at the stoop of the restaurant were he works and breaths in Mumbai's momentary morning calmness away from the clatter of fans and buzz of tubelights inside. The goats on the other hand don't care for the rain as much as they clutter behind sky blue doorway.

The Keilaniemi metro station (in Swedish: Kägeluddens metro station) is one of the Länsimetro metro stations completed in 2017. The station is located in Keilaniemi, in Espoo, a municipality near Helsinki in Finland.
The metro station has been designed by the architectural firms ALA and Esa Piironen. Above the platform a work of art is installed by the artist couple Grönlund & Nisunen. The installation consists of tube lights which lights up the platform area.
Technical stuff
This is single hand-held shot take at 2000ISO, f8.0, 1/25, -2/3 at 16 mils. I didn’t use a tripod as that’s not allowed in the metro station.
Post-production in lightroom was fairly simple. It included, cropping the image to enhance the feeling of symmetry, balancing the lighting at the level of platform and of the ceiling. Further a lond the production ‘line’ I downgraded the shadows and black tones in the ceiling, so the tube lights stand out more. Furthermore, I highlighted the two benches in the foreground. Finally, I added some copyright signs (in PS, as it is still not possible to position a watermark anywhere you want like in PS – by simply adding text). The latter is, alas, there to stay due to the fact that my photos were frequently copied. So, don't bother commenting on that.

If I knew all of myself dear God, if I could discover everything in me pedantic egocentric, in any way insincere, what would I be then? But what would I do about those feelings that are now fear, now joy, that lie to deep to be touched by my understanding. I am afraid of insidious hands Oh Lord which grope into the darkness of my soul. Please be my guard against them. Please be the Cover at the top of the passage. Am I keeping my faith by laziness dear God? But that is an idea that would appeal to someone who could only think.

I've been going through my collection of photos to keep my editing skills sharp until travel becomes safe again. Much earlier this year, I was able to visit Porsche's North American headquarters and Experience Center in Atlanta, GA.
Here's the Porsche Experience Center, as seen in the afternoon before a gorgeous winter sunset. Look carefully and you can see Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport's control tower in the background. If this structure looks familiar to you, that's because part of it was used as the Avengers Headquarters in Captain America: Civil War!

The sleek, curving corridor of the London Underground’s Jubilee Line at London Bridge Station captures both the elegance and efficiency of Britain’s famed transit system. This photograph highlights the station’s futuristic tunnel design, where steel ribs and gradient blue paneling arch overhead like a spaceship interior. The perspective leads the viewer’s eye forward, toward the distant glow of the next connection and the promise of movement beneath the city’s surface.
London Bridge Station is one of the oldest and busiest transport hubs in London, serving not only the Jubilee Line, but also the Northern Line and multiple National Rail services. Opened in 1836 and rebuilt several times since, the station has evolved into a modernized gateway connecting southeast London to the city’s heart. The Jubilee Line itself is one of the youngest in the Tube system, known for its accessibility, modern design, and architectural drama.
In this image, the symmetry and lighting create an almost cinematic feel. Harsh fluorescent tubes run cleanly along the ceiling, casting their glow onto alternating metal grates and signage. The green emergency exit sign and blue directional placard mark the utilitarian function of the tunnel, while also adding subtle visual punctuation to an otherwise tightly disciplined space. The walls are marked with “London Bridge” repeating across the curved panels—a visual rhythm that reinforces the location and adds texture to the shot.
The absence of people in this photo lends a sense of quiet anticipation. It’s a rare moment of stillness in one of the world’s busiest metro systems. The tunnel becomes a character itself—calm, sturdy, waiting. For photographers, this type of image represents a celebration of urban minimalism: clean lines, practical beauty, and infrastructure that hums with human purpose, even when humans are temporarily absent.
The Jubilee Line is also one of the most accessible lines on the Underground, and London Bridge Station underwent significant renovations to improve step-free access, clear signage, and better wayfinding. These improvements reflect the broader push across the Transport for London (TfL) system toward more inclusive, modern infrastructure.
For travelers, this image evokes memories of navigating the Tube—watching the blinking signs, rushing through corridors like this to make a connection, or standing still to admire how impressively the system is built. For locals, it may feel like a moment of calm in the daily commute. For architecture and design fans, it’s a testament to form following function, where even public transportation tunnels can possess a quiet, industrial beauty.
