Hohenzollern Bridge, or Hohenzollernbrücke in German, is the second biggest tourist attraction in the German city of Cologne, the most densely populated city within the federal state of North-Rhine Westphalia. Of the seven bridges which cross the majestic River Rhine, Hohenzollern Bridge is the most famous for being the closest to the cathedral and for separating the industrial area from the historial area of the city. It's also the oldest bridge, built between 1907 and 1911, and is full of love locks, which I'll mention more in depth later.

The Grand Mosque was constructed between 1994 and 2007 and was inaugurated in December 2007. The building complex measures approximately 290 by 420 m (950 by 1,380 ft), covering an area of more than 12 hectares (30 acres), excluding exterior landscaping and vehicle parking. The main axis of the building is rotated about 12° south of true west, aligning it in the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The project was launched by the late president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who wanted to establish a structure that would unite the cultural diversity of the Islamic world with the historical and modern values of architecture and art.In 2004, Sheikh Zayed died and was buried in the courtyard of the mosque.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center (SZGMC) offices are located in the west minarets. SZGMC manages the day-to-day operations and serves as a center of learning and discovery through its educational cultural activities and visitor programs. The library, located in the northeast minaret, serves the community with classic books and publications addressing a range of Islamic subjects: sciences, civilization, calligraphy, the arts, and coins, including some rare publications. The collection comprises material in a broad range of languages, including Arabic, English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, and Korean. For two years running, it was voted the world's second favourite landmark by TripAdvisor.

The Drommedaris, or Ketenpoort, was built in 1540 as a city gate, part of the city wall that then surrounded Enkhuizen. It was also a defense tower that watched over the city's ports and had a view of the then Zuiderzee. For a long time the building served as a prison and storage space......

Scheveningen outdoor in Holland coastline......

It's been three years since I walked there, I want to go back, but for the time being no more holidays for the people with this crisis

This beautiful place that has been photographed so often (but never by me) is so cool to have seen, here I could do a long exposure because I could borrow a tripod from the giant nice hotel owner for which I am very grateful otherwise I would not have been able to do this. I am very happy with it :-)

This is a charming lock house that was used as a residence for the lock keeper at Minnewater for several centuries. What you see today was built in the 16th century and restored in the late 19th century, it is a lovely building similar to many others around Bruges, delightfully situated on the canal.

It remains for us who are used to the night, a strange experience when you are at a point where it will not really get dark, this beautiful viewpoint with the view of the city of Bergen I took in the evening around 23:45 hours, despite I am very happy with this shot.....

I think back to Norway with great pleasure and especially to Lofoten where I would like to come back again....

Salamanca's Plaza Mayor was constructed between 1729 and 1755. Not only is it one of the city's most beautiful locales, but it is also considered among the most beautiful plazas in all of Spain. Its Baroque style architecture of the 18th century, includes Spanish decorations of cut tablets, equilateral arches and four levels. Much of the daily and night life of Salamanca takes place in the Plaza Mayor.

An overwhelming peace strikes when you see this sight of a small harbor in Lofoten Norway.

Lofoten is known for its unique scenery with dramatic mountains, vast sea and untouched beaches.....i enjoy this landscape with my heart......

“Riomaggiore's best kept secret” by Kiiri S.:

I almost don't want to write this review because I'm afraid I'll never get a table here again once everyone hears about how amazing it is. People complain about the Cinque Terre being overrun by tourists these days, but head a little bit off the beaten path and you'll find yourself sitting with a glass of wine and a sweeping view of the village and sea almost all to yourself. Fuori Rotta is run by three of the nicest, most hardworking guys, who add a touch of coolness and creativity to the Riomaggiore wine bar scene. The music is always perfect, the dishes imaginative, generous, and delicious, and the vibe is laid back and welcoming. Such an awesome find off the beaten track!

The Fountain of Mars - one of the four fountains on the Old Market in Poznan, stands on the north-west side of the Poznan Market Square. Already in the 17th century, one of the four fountains standing on the Market stood in this place, where it supplied water to the inhabitants of Poznan until the end of the 19th century. The fountain depicting the god of war Mars was unveiled in 2005. The author of the sculpture of Mars is Poznan artist Rafał Nowak.

Looking under the right arch of the bridge you can see the bridge from where I shot the iconic Rome image the evening before and I added earlier in my stream.

Ponte Sant'Angelo was built in 134 AD by Roman Emperor Hadrian, to span the Tiber from the city centre to his newly constructed mausoleum, now the towering Castel Sant'Angelo which lights up in the background of this image.

Enjoy!

The Most Photographed Barn Bridge in America.

From Don Dellio's classic 1985 novel "White Noise"....

"No one sees the bridge," he said finally.

A long silence followed.

"Once you've seen the Instagrams of the bridge, it becomes impossible to see the bridge."

He fell silent once more. People with phones and cameras left the elevated site, replaced by others.

We're not here to capture an image, we're here to maintain one. Every photograph reinforces the aura. Can you feel it, Jack? An accumulation of nameless energies."

"Being here is a kind of spiritual surrender. We see only what the others see. The thousands who were here in the past, those who will come in the future. We've agreed to be part of a collective perception. It literally colors our vision. A religious experience in a way, like all tourism."

Another silence ensued.

"They are taking pictures of taking pictures," he said.

Marble Canyon is a section along the canyon of the Colorado River from the Glen Canyon Dam at Lake Powell (Page, Arizona) to the confluence of the Little Colorado River. The Grand Canyon officially begins below this confluence. Near Marble Canyon is the famous Navajo Bridge where US Highway 89A crosses the Colorado River. Travelers will find this route handy for going to and from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and into southern Utah. Marble Canyon is the western boundary of the Navajo Nation.....

Quebec, French Québec, city, port, and capital of Quebec province, Canada. One of the oldest cities in Canada—having celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2008—Quebec city has a distinct old-world character and charm. It is the only remaining walled city in North America north of Mexico and was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985. Among its other distinguishing characteristics are its narrow cobblestone streets, stone buildings, fortifications, and rich French Canadian culture grounded in the French language. The city’s splendid views of the surrounding landscape and unique character were noted as early as 1842 during a visit by Charles Dickens......

Birthplace of the famous Roman emperor Theodosius the Great. With a doubt, the most outstanding feature of the town is its castle, one of the best-preserved in Spain.

The Mudejar castle of Coca is considered to be one of the finest examples of brick military architecture. It was ordered to be built at the end of the 15th century by Archbishop Don Alonso de Fonseca, during the reign of Enrique IV of Castile. It has two areas with a square plan, flanked at the corners by polygonal towers, one of them the Keep. It possesses richly-decorated walls distributed around a large Renaissance courtyard and is surrounded by a deep moat. Also worth a visit are the remains of the wal

The last time I stayed in Bruges I did not have the opportunity to do a long exposure of Bruges hotspot. Now I had prepared myself and I was with ten other photographers in the same place that is so famous and welknown in Bruges. But you have to do everything yourself once, because I am happy with this evening recording....enjoy :)

Every now and then I find a monochrome

wonderful work to do for a change.

And architecture is a good subject for black and white.....

At the end of a beautiful day.....
