the little camera caught a lot in this one: the aloe plant, the lampshade, me, the lamppost, the powerlines and the trees, of course. but there's also the tracklighting, sprinklers, and tiling on the ceiling inside, not to mention the oneway sign across the street.

main studio room with skylights and Traum wall (right side) for passive solar heating. the floors are radiant heated. tracklighting throughout.

The old wire looks like it had the insulation stripped, but that's not true: it just gets pushed down. No stripping!

Day Eight of the July "lighting fixtures" challenge.

 

Had a case of the 24-hour flu go through our house last week, so I'm very far behind now. Going to try to post two a day to catch up, but only got one useable shot this evening.

 

I love the colors and shadow patterns that these tracklights throw onto the ceiling. I boosted the saturation way up, but the blue and pink casts are definitely there in the original.

It's been too long since I picked up this guitar. Actually it's been too long since I picked up any of my guitars. This pic was lit by holding my arm (and the guitar) up to the halogen track lighting in my living room (not an easy task when you take the guitar's weight into consideration)

After: New countertop, removed kitchen island & replaced chandelier with track lighting.

Cabinet inspector cat approves.

I cut a slit in the drywall so that the bar top could be slid back and butted against the wall studs. I also re-routed the two outlets that were in the 'bar wall' so that I could use them for something else.

The husband brought home some track lighting. yummy :)
