I got a neat set of halogen track lights for Christmas, to put over the couch in my living room so I can read there!
The open living and dining area enjoys a ceiling height of 12 feet, tracklighting, central air, and beautfully refinished hardwood floors. Oriental carpets help delineate the dining and living areas .

Close-up of the socket that screws into ceiling bracket. Note black set-screw still stuck on allen wrench which will go in the hole near the tip, screwed tightly enough to bore through the insulation and make contact. The silver set-screw should be tight enough to provide physical bonding to wire, but *not* go through insulation.
We have pictures from inside the house. Nothing fancy, but at least we
have (working) fixtures, and appliances. The toilet, unfortunately,
does not work yet.
The "before" pictures of rileystreet art supplies, San Rafael. early April, 2007. I think we are going to get rid of most of the track lighting and put in 12 or 14 metal halides. The ceiling will feel much more open.
