This horse sculpture was commissioned by the residents of Morundah to commemorate 100 years of both registered and bush picnic horse racing in the village. It was made by local artist Andrew Whitehead of Urana. The horse was named " Toolbox "
...behold, my tiny bike toolbox!
Tire 'irons' (they're plastic, natch), CO2 pump, extra cylinder and sleeve, glue, two kinds of tire patches, sandpaper, an antique wrench, a grease pencil, instructions for the pump and patches, and a hex key. The box itself came from my manicurist with emery boards and toe spreaders in it.
Better in big size !

Someone who does general home repairs for a living has to carry a whole bunch of tools, because "you never know what next" So, the "toolbox" is sometimes the bed of his pickup. What about when it rains, you say? Right, a cover would be prudent. But Tommy is normally more involved in drumming up business, making estimates and supervising his crew, as opposed to actual hands-on work. So, he doesn't carry the tool outfit on all occasions.
It's empty and only weighs a couple pounds so this was an easy load. Still enough to tip it away from the kick stand, though hence the lean against the pipe trick.

El Caminos have a hidden compartment under the bed behind the cab which is normally covered by the bed panels. A terrible waste of space. I asked Bill Miller of Costa Mesa (now he's in Arizona) to fix this space up so I could store a toolbox and the battery in there, and access the space easily. He started by fabricating a steel central support and a steel frame for the cover.
