i've taken photos of my feet for many years. it started as a way to document visiting new places, like this in ireland. now i seem to do it quite often. love that this was a focus for week one.
Before the dissolution of my marriage, I documented everything and put it on Flickr. It was easy because I could find happy things to photograph. I wasn't happy but I could focus on the positive. Find the beauty in life.
During the last year, I've avoided photography because I was scared to document anything unhappy. I didn't want anyone to worry. I've decided to get over that. The feelings are there whether I document them or not. Photography helps me explore, understand and communicate. Everyone will just have to trust that I'm 98% happy and normal.
