And now — I feel
Mine inmost being terrified to life:
Without the gloom of night doth weave me round,
And deep within my soul thick darkness yawns:
And sounding from this universal gloom
And up from out the darkness of my soul
These words ring forth:
‘Know thou thyself, O man.’ #rudolfsteiner

I spent about 1 hour trying to get a decent picture of this beautiful little creature... I so wanted her to feel relaxed around me. The funny thing was, she wasn't scared of the camera, just people. In the end I realised I wasn't going to get one of those happy kitty shots of her, it's just not her style. This is her personality, take it or leave it.
She´s the kind of kitten you just want to take home and feed shrimp, until she warms up:)
Her mother is an ordinary housecat, and her father was obviously a SIamese... and man it was hard to walk out of there without her.
This photo was a happy accident..I have a small collection of photos of the mural (since painted over) on the bottom of the frame. I left a show at Cake Shop on Ludlow and was walking back to my car and decided a fifteenth photo of the mural was needed. Just as I was lining up the shot, a fist fight broke out and one of the guys said "that dude is taking photos" and I kind of aimed high and got this instead. Thanks, meathead!
This is my Basset, Bayleigh. Last night she had a major seizure, she's never had one before and to say I was terrified was probably an understatement...I thought she was going to die as she went through the stages of her seizure and didn't sleep a wink last night through worrying.
This morning she is back to her usual happy self, the vet gave her a once over and although she seems fine wants to get her blood tested just in case. We also now have medication should it happen again.
It could be a one-off, it could be an indicator of many things, I know it hit home just how important our pets are to us, and how utterly devastated I'll be when anything happens to my beautiful Bayleigh Boo.

I couldn't force myself to stay out of my car long enough to get decent settings, this was a terrifying random stop in a dark forested valley.
As I remarked to Cat, it must be terrifying having this bear down on you. Fortunately, we are not of a size to worry.
Now all I need is a macro lens rather than a very old zoom with a close up filter.
This tourguide on horseback was terrifying: dressed like a Janjaweed bandit, he whipped our horses and his own to keep them in line. The hores were by no means under our control, they'd been trained to literally listen to this leader's commands no matter what conventional horse-commands we kept attempting
