Technical note: playing around with in-camera jpeg settings to see if I can get all the detail in a camera jpeg, possibly with a bit of extra rummaging in a editor, that's available in RAW. Not yet quite, as the equivalent ex-camera jpeg image shows, but I still haven't explored the full range of possibilities.

This is the terminal moraine pushed forward by the Palisades Glacier, about as far as I got. Cairns lead up it to the left of this picture but it was too technical for me too climb over it to the glacier itself.
