Sadarghat Port the Dhaka City River Front, located in the southern part of Dhaka, on the river Buriganga, is one of the most dynamic places in Dhaka. Here, the Sadarghat Launch Terminal is one of the largest river ports in the world. About 200 large and small passenger launches (motorized boats) depart and arrive at the terminal every day. According to the officials at the terminal, 50,000 people, in average, use the terminal for departure and arrival every day. At this place hundreds of country boats laden with passengers and merchandise cross the river.

The Tower sits above Union terminal and on opening was the tallest building outside New York City, a status it retained until 1964. The Observation Deck, closed since 2001, was origianlly designed as a mooring post for future airship travel.

On Thursday, May 29, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey broke ground on the Dyer Avenue deck-overs, marking the first stage in construction of the new Midtown Bus Terminal.
The deck-overs will facilitate construction of the new bus terminal and will be used for staging of buses during construction. Ultimately, the deck-overs will be transformed into 3.5 acres of new publicly accessible open green space after construction of the new bus terminal is complete.

Chattanooga's Terminal Station, designed by Donn Barber, opened in 1909. The last train left the station in 1970, but the building re-opened in 1972 as the Chattanooga Choo Choo.
