From Wikipedia:
The ferry terminal is composed of two main elements, with an older, yellow Edwardian Baroque building facing Queen Street and the city side, while the newer wharves and waiting area building (the actual ferry terminal of today) face the Waitematā Harbour.
Old Building:
The building usually referred to as the Auckland Ferry Terminal was designed by Alex Wiseman, and built by Philcox and Sons. Completed in 1912 on reclaimed land out of sandstone and brick with a base of Coromandel granite, it cost £67,944 to construct (approximately NZ$10.9 million in 2016), a large sum for the day.
Since 1982, it has had a Category I classification with the New Zealand Historic Places Trust (since renamed to Heritage New Zealand), and was extensively restored between 1986 and 1988. It now contains shops and cafes on the lower level, with most ferry operations moved to the new building.
New Building:
The more contemporary ferry piers and waiting area were constructed mostly as an open-sided structure with a curved seagull/sail-roof, which together with ornamental "smokestack" turrets is designed to evoke ships berthed behind the original building. It also needed to be of a low profile to retain building views, and was designed by architect Murray Day to be easily maintainable and expandable.

Airport House acted as a combined airport terminal and control tower for the now defunct Croydon Airport in Croydon, Greater London. It was built in 1926-28 by the then Air Ministry's Department of Buildings and Works. Croydon was, at the time, the main airport for London (see here).
By 1946 Heathrow had replaced Croydon as London’s main airport, flying from the latter eventually ceasing. Croydon closed in 1959, The building was developed as a business centre in 1995, with further development subsequently. It is listed Grade II*. (There's more on the airport at Wikipedia).

The original image of this I really like. I've created several adaptations of it and will post those over the next few days - maybe. Yet, this one spoke to me - you know - in that way that nudges you toward "post me now" kind of response. So, I'm posting this one first.
Please check out the photostream of a flickr friend of mine - who may be one of your contacts too. He's had a blur series up this week that's been great. But don't stop there - go through the rest of his work, too - it's fabulous. Here's his link. www.flickr.com/photos/rebelsabu
Originally built as the Billings Grain Terminal, the silos and loading facility that borders the south side of the Billings Yard has changed hands several times since its completion in 1984. In 2021, Gavilon Grain (the owner at the time) mothballed the property as it activated it's new property in Huntley, MT.
However, many of the remaining assets on the property still carry the original company's name, much like this truck that has been recently pulled from a storage shed.

Roger Puta took several photos of this beautiful car on a fan weekend (August 12 and 13, 1967) on the Iowa Terminal Railroad (IATR). Here are 6. The car is ex-Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Northern Railway.
The sad part of this is that #100 was destroyed in a carbarn fire in November 1967.
