received! my oh my the swap gods have been favoring me lately. i received a fabulous set of linen towels from denise (samhanmama)! the colors are so bright and cheery... the stamping is fantastic and the extras are smashing! she sent some hexies... umm yes please, some charm squares and an amazing needle case! thank you thank you miss denise. i adore the goodies and YOU!

French beaded earrings in blue, indigo and silver toned size 11 and 15 seed beads with sterling silver earwires - made for my Etsy DUST swap partner.
I found a big bundle of sticks in the garbage outside of a florist shop. some were natural and others were glittered. I spray painted the natural ones white and the whole bundle has been hanging out in my bathroom for a few months. I finally found something to do with them!
This one came from Pam (1crazyquilter)...it was a matchbox swap for your fave/my fave colour. Mine's aqua, hers is purple. Above and beyond swap requirements, such generousness!
And a chicken magnet!!! whoohooo!!!
This is the lovely package I received from Ana ("Athena's Owl") in Portugal. She wanted to include something for my kimono collection so she made me a little geisha doll! How amazing is she? I love her and I'm going to find a wonderful little spot for her in my office.

I loved Annemiek's letter - so nice & rare to have a handwritten note these days! :)
The rough ceramic ring can be hanged on a wall, and the two kitties can be arranged on it (I love it!!) I really like the texture and colour of the ring - it's so nice to hold it in your hands! (oh, yes - I'm very "tactile").
The owl will surely bring me wisdom (yay!), and the tea will be slowly sipped while reading a good book!
The chocolates were both swallowed in a moment of frustration - my HD dropped dead for good while I was editing those photos (10 days ago - now recovered from the camera, and re-edited)! Thanks for the little moment of comfort!

I LOVE vintage children's books and knew she had a baby, so I had to send her a reproduction of an old Mother Goose book. I have a huge fondness for The Snowman. I watched it (in movie form) growing up with my family, and the uniqueness of the music, the animation -- has stayed with me this long. I sent some peach preserves in honor of my grandma. She made the best, and always had to have some with every meal. I sent Fels Naptha laundry soap, because I have always wanted to make my own laundry detergent, but never got around to it. Maybe she will? I sent the recipe along as well. The Burt's Bees Orange Essence facial cleanser is a favorite of mine because it is practically edible and it works so well! I thought the little tin magnet was funny -- I probably should have kept it! I sent my favorite candy -- maple nut goodies. And one of my favorite things is the little wool rug basket. I can just imagine cozy balls of yarn tucked inside it.

This is how behind I am with crowing about all of the lovely things I have received in the mail over the past months. The wonderful handmade treasures you see here were sent to me as part of a summer swap with the lovely Kristen of Plush You and Schmancy Toys fame. It was such a joy to open Kristen's package and marvel over the care and attention she put into preparing it, everything was holiday/sea shore themed! Thank you so much Kristen, I am so happy we were partnered up.
