隨着末代高考的落幕，首屆文憑試將於7月20日放榜。由於今年是新舊學制兼行的「雙班年」，兩批考生若未能升讀本地大學，便需爭奪其他銜接課程，故預料競爭將非常激烈。學生及家長應抓緊時機，及早安排合適的課程及院校。

『aec教育顧問』於文憑試聯招放榜期間，特別邀請 UNSW Foundation Studies Group Executive Dr Rob Forage 及校長 Mr Paul Sutton，即場講解UNSW課程及入學資格。屆時各AEC專業教育顧問亦會為學生分析及建議合適的升學方案，更有UNSW舊生分享經驗。
學生若未符合直接入讀UNSW的要求，可選擇修讀為期四個月(8月至12月)的過渡課程 (Transition Program)，成功完成後便可銜接大學一年級，故此課程絕對適合應屆高考及文憑試考生。

The IELS English course is available as a part time or full time course, depending on the amount of improvement you wish to achieve during your time studying abroad. Our courses will not only teach you how to speak English but you'll learn the sort of real English that is used in everyday social and work situations. Whilst the English Lessons focus on improving your real conversational English, both speaking and listening, we
also cover written English, English reading, grammar and vocabulary.

Les Roches School of Hotel Management has a sound reputation around the world. I have chosen the Chinese branch of this University, Les Roches Jin Jiang, as I wanted to achieve two things at once; get a solid knowledge and get to know the Chinese people, culture, and especially language. China is going forward at a steady speed everywhere including the hospitality industry.
It's an excellent perspective for a future manager to have a good command of the Chinese language and have an experience studying and working with Chinese people as their culture and traditions are different from Western and even some Asian cultures.
The college gave me a sound knowledge to enter the industry without a hindrance or doubt. For my internship I was working in the French pavilion and now I have been transferred to a new opening French restaurant in downtown and I have been promoted. I was planning to make my 2nd internship in France, so this internship would be a good start. I got an experience to observe the process of the opening of the restaurant and I find that quite useful for me.
Shanghai is a fantastic city to study, work and just enjoy your life. It is a great experience for me. I have been here already 8 months and do not regret that I decided to study here.

К одной из бурно развивающихся стран в сфере гостеприимства и не только, относится Китай. Здесь я приобрела богатый опыт, который не получила бы, пройдя весь курс в Швейцарии. Мне нравится Шанхай и все, что здесь происходит. Ты просто не успеваешь уследить как быстро здесь все развивается. Изучение главного диалекта Китая – Путунхуа («Мандарин»), и опыт работы с китайским народом, одно из главных преимуществ студентов, обучающихся в Les Roches Jin Jiang.
What pleases me in the system of Les Roches Jin Jiang is that there is the possibility to transfer into the sister schools in the different countries, where the industry of hospitality does not stand on the spot. China is one of the quickest developing countries in the sphere of hospitality and also much more than this. Here I acquired a wide experience, which would not be obtained, after passing the entire course in Switzerland. Shanghai and everything that happens here pleases me. You simply cannot follow everything here as it develops so quickly. One of the key advantages for Les Roches Jin Jiang students is the study of the main dialect, Mandarin, and work experience with the Chinese people.

JUPAS 放榜在即，應屆文憑試考生及家長均非常擔心能否順利升讀心儀大學，但今年乃「首屆文憑試」與「末代高考」學位互相競爭的「雙班年」，本地大學學位嚴重不足；雖然多達2.64萬名考生考獲入讀資助大學門檻「33222」，但卻需要爭奪1.5萬個學額，代表當中1.14萬人無緣躋身本地大學。再者本地大學收生要求參差，院校並非把成績直接加出總和作為入學評分。各校的入學計分方法各有不同，令考生憂慮能否入讀本地大學。
而成績稍遜考生就徘徊於留港升讀自資副學士或出國留學之間，但考生須緊記即使成功修畢副學士課程，但由於政府提供的二年級銜接學額不足，大學即使滿意副學士畢業生的表現，卻只能改用一年級學額取錄，佔用了聯招學額，造成不必要競爭。
有見及此，不少考生已安排出國留學，另覓出路。升學專家指出，近日英澳升學的人數急升，反映學生及家長對本地升學前景感到十分徬徨。英澳兩地一直是港人留學首選，因其教育質素卓越出眾，師資優良，課程多元化及照顧學生不同需要，故一直深受香港學生及家長歡迎。
由於臨近開課，學額緊張，各院校正進行最後招生。學生應把握最後機會，儘快申請心儀院校，以便趕及新學年開課。「aec教育顧問」將於八月JUPAS 放榜期間舉行多場面試，各英澳院校代表將親臨本中心作即場招生及優先取錄，抓緊時機儘快落實海外升學計劃。

據(10月6日大公報) 報導
理大學生輔導網絡主任崔日雄指出，由于首屆文憑試收生較為混亂，部分考生高估收生要求，可能會出現錯配，第二屆考生應定期留意聯招網站課程的最新消息。他說，首屆平均需四核心科加一科選修至少四級才算「穩陣」獲取錄，估計第二屆考生必須有更高成績，才能躋身八大，但現階段較難評估實際情況，提醒來屆考生必須有心理準備，而只考獲大學最低要求「三三二二」的學生，無可能升讀大學，不應存有幻想。
家長及學生可考慮報讀澳洲悉尼大學基礎課程
The University of Sydney Foundation Program (USFP) 課程旨在培養國際學生於學術領域的專業知識和能力，為將來進入悉尼大學奠定良好的基礎；學生成功修畢課程可銜接大學學科包括建築、藝術、經濟、商業、工程、健康科學、音樂、藥劑、營養學、謢理學、獸醫及物理治療學等。
大學基礎課程内容會依照未來大學的主修科目釐定，學生普遍修讀4-5個不同科目，修畢課程並達到指定的英文程度與學術成績要求，即可獲得悉尼大學 (The University of Sydney) 的入學資格。

澳洲教育制度簡介
澳洲的教育體制大致承襲自英國。由各省政府自行管轄，而聯邦政府負責監察和管理，因此質素有一定保證，頒授的學歷皆為國際認可。
諾貝爾獎得獎者
澳洲大學提拔不少對學術研究有貢獻的學者，其中七位澳洲學者更是諾貝爾獎的得獎者。
中、小學
澳洲中小學教育課程共 12 年 (Grade 1 - Year 12) ，分為公立及私立學校兩類。中學一般是第 7 班至第 12 班，部份省份的第 7 班為小學最後的一年。第 11 至 12 班為高中，是大學的預科課程，完成課程後，學生將參加其省份的公開考試，繼而升讀大學一年級。
大學
澳洲全國有近40所大學，為學生提供學士、深造文憑、碩士及博士課程，部份大學亦提供基礎班課程予海外學生，全部皆獲澳洲政府認可。教育部每年均會審核各大學的學術表現，確保達到一定的水平。再者，澳洲擁有全球著名的『八大』大學，故此越來越多學生選擇到澳洲升學。

My dream is to become an entrepreneur in the hospitality industry.
For me, the most important criteria when choosing this school was the Les Roches Swiss background and the Shanghai location.
Shanghai offers you a really international environment. The great thing about Les Roches Jin Jiang is that the classes are mixed, so you have international students from all over the world: Russia, Europe and then the Chinese students as well, mixing cultures in the classroom.
I was able to change career in a short time. The Postgraduate Certificate program allows you to join the industry in a very short time. You get a lot of knowledge in a short space of time and you can become an active member of the hospitality industry.
Les Roches JIn Jiang is the liaison between the industry and the student which is really important. The school really delivered in helping me find a job in the hospitality industry.
i would recommend the students and parents to come along to the school, meet students, meet teachers, I'm pretty sure you'll be convinced.
I would also recommend to just have the right attitude and the rest will come along.

The University of Sydney Foundation Program (USFP) 課程旨在培養國際學生於學術領域的專業知識和能力，為將來進入悉尼大學奠定良好的基礎；學生成功修畢課程可銜接大學學科包括建築、藝術、經濟、商業、工程、健康科學、音樂、藥劑、營養學、謢理學、獸醫及物理治療學等。
大學基礎課程内容會依照未來大學的主修科目釐定，學生普遍修讀4-5個不同科目，修畢課程並達到指定的英文程度與學術成績要求，即可獲得悉尼大學 (The University of Sydney) 的入學資格。
Taylors College由1998年開始與悉尼大學聯合開辦USFP課程。「aec教育顧問」誠邀悉尼大學及Taylors College代表於本中心解構此課程的特色及介紹悉尼大學部份熱門學科，有興趣同學一定不能錯過。

In the future, my dream is to open a hotel with my partner.
I heard Les Roches was the best in the world and from Switzerland, so I dropped all other opportunities to come here.
We've got a very good group of teachers, that's why our parents wanted to send us here. They are very professional and have a lot of experience.
The school offers us a good opportunity to work and get involved with the work activities. The school has arranged many meetings for us with the hotel so we could send our CV to them. And we are not that nervous when we are doing the interview in the school.
I think this job is very interesting, you get to meet all kinds of people and I feel very happy when I am in the kitchen.
We have a lot of international students here, we live with them, we study with them, and we can learn a lot about their culture. We can learn the English language better, we can communicate better.
I met a lot of amazing people here!
I expected to meet a lot of interesting and different people and to build a network somehow, which I actually did.
It is a great opportunity to be in the international environment and it is also great to try yourself here, in China; so I would recommend the school to future students. You receive a warm care in the school because LRJJ is like a family.
China is booming now. It has the fastest growing economy in the whole world. It is such a great opportunity to work in this environment. Certainly, you deal with a lot of challenges here because the culture is very different, people are different but from the other point, you learn how to be patient and tolerant.
What concerns the hospitality industry, Shanghai is one of the best places to get your experience. It has over 50 5*star luxury international brand hotels in one city which is just amazing!
My home country is definitely different from China. Russia has its own culture, values and beliefs. But still, we share some features with China just because we are neighbors.
I will do my internship in Le Royal Meridién, Shanghai, Starwood, as a Management Trainee in the Food & Beverage Department. I hope I will enjoy my time there and I will get a great experience.
在新高中學制下，學生及家長均承受著沉重的壓力，末代高考生對前路更感徬徨。雖云條條大路通羅馬，但考生是否有十足信心升讀本地大學？本地副學士、高級文憑質素及認受性成疑，到底學生及家長應如何選擇？
新舊學制衝擊下，入大學率已由50%劇降至18%，變成5爭1，考生所面對的壓力前所未有。未能獲得學位的高考生，應否多花2年時間，補考高考再與第二屆文憑試考生競爭入讀四年制大學？
