I was very excited to see the Sprites out and about in the grasses. It was windy so hard ti get photos.....this one one of the few that was in focus.
This will be the last shot from this location for a bit. I have other shots, but most of the other glyphs aren't as spectacular.

Created over 2,000 years ago, this Barrier Canyon Style panel is probably one of the most famous in the San Rafael Swell. The panel is about 130 feet long. The glyphs were painted using powdered hematite and are upwards of four feet tall.
The Buckhorn Panel is easily accessible by car and requires no hiking. Consequently, over the years, it was repeatably vandalized. In 1996 the State of Utah and Emery County "restored" the panel.

This car competed in the Equipe GTS race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2015. It's the 1965 Austin Healey Sprite Ashley GT driven in the 30 minute long race by Allan and Neil Cameron and has a 1,293cc engine.

This sprite event is a one of a kind. I was able to captured several sprites firing up in a sequence and these sprites were heading straight for my location. I stacked the images using photoshop. This type of sequence is called a dancing sprite event because they appear one after the other. The first sprite was very low and that indicates the sprite was further back than the sprites that followed. Here is a hi-res video of the event: youtu.be/6cuV8lpTyEY
Red Sprites on 01.02.2021, over the thunderstorms of the E. Aegean sea. One can observe the parent lightning's flash below the sprite. I've used a Sigma 20 mm lens at f/1.4 with 20k iso. - www.kevin-palmer.com - For over 10 years I've been trying to capture red sprites with no success. That is until this night when I caught not 1, but 16 over the course of an hour. The storm was 300-400 miles away in North Dakota/Minnesota.

Orange has become quite popular in the last few years. That Porsche 912 in the background has a color named ‘Bahama Yellow.’ It seems a bit more orange than the usual yellow in color.
I counted myself very lucky to bring even one of these little Sprites home, but I couldn't help pouncing when the chance came up to add two more!
Although this photograph was taken some time ago, from the box opening for the two newest arrivals, I wanted to get it posted and say that there is currently a pre-order open for these lovelies!
While I won't be participating in the Stone Sprite pre-order -- I must grudgingly accept that three is probably enough -- it's a great chance for someone else to get one of these adorable little dolls.
