On 27 October, American historian and Professor of History at Yale University Timothy Snyder was honoured with the Lithuanian Diplomacy Star during a ceremony at the Lithuanian Embassy in Washington, D. C. The award was presented by the Lithuanian ambassador to the United States Žygimantas Pavilionis.

Late Oct Fall Colors around the sternwheeler W.P. Snyder.
The historic W.P. Snyder anchored at the Ohio River Museum in Marietta ohio. The W. P. Snyder Jr. has been a Marietta Ohio resident since 1955. From its birth in 1918 to 1955 it towed coal barges in Pittsburgh Pa. and was renamed and sold three times. Since 1955 it has been here at the Ohio River Museum.
