11-stories up ^^^ Giving you the vibe like you're skating on top of the world.. With a full 360 view of Downtown San Diego! Been skating here for 20 + years! It's been a place of refuge for so many of us growing up. There's been times i've slept up here on occasions, to bringing full-course meals up here with a couple ex's. This building is centered in the heart of the city. There's been people who've lived their whole lives here and are older etc and they've never known that this place ever existed until mentioning it up to them... It's still a rare gem of Downtown and has remained the same through out all these years of changes, gentrification and all that much more. #RespectTheSpot !

We were looking behind an abandoned school in Lynn where there's a skatespot but it was covered in dirt and broken glass. I saw this and thought it would look cool.

This place was massive!! And there's history everywhere!!

Been coming back here since 2003ish , recognizing certain spots through a few old #411vm's, just as this ledge.. There's some good documentaries/Movies about it's history and purpose. I've read up on quite a bit ever since i first came here. The place is fascinating!

Through World War II through the Korean Conflict & Vietnam, NAS Alameda supported the Department of the Navy's defense mission until operational closure in 1997.

Legendary Popp's Fountain. There's no longer water running through it, but it's a killer skatespot.

Abstract

Derzeitiges Lebensmotto: We don’t play, we riot!

The Metronome is a giant, functional metronome located overlooking the Vltava River and the city center of Prague. It was erected in 1991, and stands on the plinth left vacant by the destruction of an enormous monument to former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin (the monument was destroyed in 1962). The 75 foot-tall Metronome is now mostly a scenic vista and a meeting place for young people. It was designed by international artist Vratislav Novak. The area behind the metronome is also a famous skatespot where skateboarders from Europe and around the world congregate and film throughout the year.

This statue sorta bummed me out once I realized what it was depicting. Sitting in a courtyard skatespot the locals called "little Barcelona" it shows a Christian missionary "civilizing' a native Amazonian Indian. Amazing how converting a harmless, peaceful culture to the warring, greedy ways of Christianity is considered "civil".
