Loughborough Signal Box stands at the north end of Loughborough Central station, at one time there was also a Loughborough South Signal Box.
Loughborough is the only original signal box left on the preserved Great Central Railway and it's one of the loveliest boxes I've had the pleasure to visit.
In years to come it'll once again signal trains both ways again.
GWR 'Small Prairie' no 5521, masquerading as London Transport's L150, leaves Horsted Keynes for Sheffield Park. I don't much like this but thought I'd post 'for the record'.
The concept of the train was introduced to the Indian media at a press conference in central Delhi. Part of the conference involved a preview of the train - made from cardboard.

So far, this is the oldest doghouse signal that I have ever seen in my life. I didn't even know doghouses even existed during the flatback-era until I saw these. Doghouses are very common in PA, there are hundreds of them within the area, but flatback doghouses are extremely rare, I'm only aware of just five of these. Two are here in Lower Merion, and the other three are all the way up in Bristol Township, in Bucks County. I have no knowledge of any doghouse signal of the sort that was installed prior to this. These however; are only slightly older than the doghouses in Bristol. It was hard to get a frontal shot of the signal, since I didn't wanna get hit by a car. As far as I know, all of these 12" eagle flatback doghouse signals were installed at some point during the seventies.
The Invensys Rail Signal is one of the most popular new signaling systems for the nation. This system is slowly replacing the older crossings throughout the nation. This signal is installed at the East "D" Street crossing of Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit's tracks and the Lakeville Highway at East "D Street.

I guess the new thing is getting custom dropouts made with your name on them.
Years later extra platforms add, the signals needed numbering, so spare numbers don't match the rest of the platforms signal numbering.
Sandringham Signal Box is currently being refurbished which is great to see. Here 67ACPM posses in front of the box that was there 100 years ago when Tait trains ran the first official electrified services from and to Sandringham.
