I made these cookies for the prom committee to sample. They are doing a oscar/hollywood theme. I got the oscar, tux and dress design from Callye of SweetSugar Belle you can see her photos here: www.sweetsugarbelle.com/blog/2011/02/making-itty-bitty-os...
Knitting sample of "fashion" decreases together with seam-as-you-go on machine knitting.
(All hand manipulation because my machine is VERY low tech)
The "fashion" decrease is made with 3 prong tool. The decrease on the 3th stitch into the fabric. I am not entirely sure. maybe I should use the 2 prong tool instead and make the decrease 2 stitches into the fabric? I think the strip looks too fat.
Yarn: Drops Karisma, DK weight wool yarn.
Practice to make raglan sweater. The color will be brown for the background and floral border (fair isle or intarsia method). The 2 color here is for contrast.
By the way, it is not really feasible to do top-to-down method on machine because it is very awkward to do decreases in the mid of fabric because you have to rehang all the stitches on the sides. I have made 3 prong tool to make the decrease 3 sts into the fabric and I also have 2 prong tools.
(you can see my homemade tools here: www.flickr.com/photos/funnybunny/5129361230/in/photostream/ )
All for human clothes. the scale is too big for making good doll clothes because DK weight is the thinnest to get solid fabric. thinner = hollow. But it could be good to make hats/helmets for Blythe because of her big head. ;) Of course I could make doll sweater too but it would be bulky in doll size and not really practical too, in that size you could as well knit for hand and also be more free in styling....

Sample sheet I made with Photoshop to showcase some of my work I did while in school. Obviously I went with a different approach from what everyone else does just throwing some pictures together. I wanted a faux magazine cover.

Or something like that. I wasn't paying that much attention.
This may be the last photo from Chicago I post. It depends on how things go.
The chairs pictured where supplied by a local party retailer contracted by the bride and groom. This color scheme and floral decor truly made for a unique showing.
Ttura 'Earth' is made from a mix of various coloured recycled glass and two pack epoxy resin with non absorbant fine powder. Once these components are mixed the material is traditionally hand troweled to a depth of approx 6-10mm and is ground to a fine polish using diamond grinding blades which are fed by a constant feed of water and then recycled for further use. The floor has a stunningly seamless aesthetic and is very hard wearing whilst being completely smooth to the touch and under foot. Ttura 'Earth' is naturally slip resistant and is available in any choice of RAL or BS 4800 background resin colour.
Gotta love free samples! Ordered a few I2C level converters and temperature sensors from Texas Instruments to get a proper heated build platform designed for my MakerBot.
