This is a double size quilt. All of the squares are different.

This sampler is pretty unique – we spent a lot of our wedding day hiking down Silver Star Mountain with a pretty big bridal party. The views were simply intoxicating. Our day begins near Okanagan lake. This is a backyard wedding, and so it’s small, intimate, and cozy. As always, we begin with our detail […]

A little sampler (thanks Krista, that book is gold!)

A knitting sampler, knitted last night and about to be frogged. I used the yarn that I got from the Biggan Dups class on Continental Knitting at the iKnit Weekender. It is DK weight 100% Australian Merino Wool and a delight to knit with. All of this stitch patterns were worked from "400 Knitting Stitches: Great Stitch Patterns" (Murdoch Books) - except the "heel stitch" which I found on www.thedietdiary.com/blog/lucia/525 - and the stitch names and page numbers can be seen in the 'notes' as you hover over the photos on their flickr page.

Borders - similar stitches in different weights of thread.

Centre panel - varying density

Sampler quilt with various blocks and sashing.

Strawberries + strawberry blossoms together are supposed to symbolize virtue in women (the flower and the fruit - fruitful yet chaste). I wonder if the designer knew?

Fried parts from Chicken Valley Farm. Didn't take much to convince Stella.

This is the second miniature sampler I made, a wedding sampler, in honor of my marriage to Bob. The couple is holding a heart, and our initials and the date of our wedding are included.

Kashkaval

Back: Eggplant Tapende (eggplants, garlic, tomatoes)

Left: Spicy Walnut Pepper Spread (fire roasted peppers, walnuts, oil, garlic, parsley)

Right: Red Pepper Spread (roasted red peppers, olive oil, garlic)

Front: Beet Skordalia (baked beets, garlic, herbs, and spices)

These were SO GOOD. Eggplant was the least flavorful. Everything else was...flavorful. Surprisingly so. For four choices we picked a good spread of flavors (crunchy, spicy, sweet, mushy, blah blah). Uber-colorful. It made me feel like I was eating something healthy...on top of lots and lots of warm pita bread.

A Roland SP-505 sampler. This thing has great effects.

This is the first quilt project I finished.

Two samplers in the Taylor's tasting room: a chip dry (white), a late bottled vintage, and a 10-year tawny. (Vila Nova de Gaia.)

Yes, you probably saw this picture on Jenny's Flickr. I took it using Jenny's camera!

The tasty sampler served up at Silver Moon Brewing, do it on a Thursday like me and get a free pint with the flight!

When finished, this sampler will be a wedding present for our niece in Australia. The most exciting bit is that we're going!!

A sampler from the Bridgeport Brewery and Bakery. Couldn't find one I didn't like... Service was nowhere near as stellar as at Deschutes though - maybe need to hire some more people?

I'm contributing to the April Sampler (www.homeofthesampler.com). I've packaged my bottlecap necklaces up by cutting 2"x3" cards from food boxes, cutting slits in the top to run the chain to the back and putting them in small bags. Then I stapled my biz card to the bag.

A detail of Agnes Bolte's sampler, showing the basket of fruit, "Agnes Bolte" and "Age 12 Year", all stitched in cross stitch.

2004.005

my progress on the Storytime Sampler (by the Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery) - with a few modifications (mostly in colour, plus the addition of some backstitching and french knots)

On the back of the sampler it says made by Fannie Erb Onstott

Trying to get back into the swing of embroidery, so I'm stitching whatever comes to mind... NExt?
