A steel train destine to Hennepin, Ill., has arrived Savanna, Ill., with 2 SP SD45s. A crew change and add the F7A, F7B and 2 GP9s and the train will continue to Davis Jct. where the SP units will be removed for the trip down the Ladd line to the Hennepin steel finishing mill. June 1972
Southern Pacific Railroad SD40R 7349 at Clyde, Illinois on August 18, 1982, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built as road number 8487 in June 1968 ( c/n 33679 ) on EMD Order 7083, it was rebuilt in February 1981 to SD40R 7349, retired from the UP June 28, 2001, and later became ICE 6421.
