Using Topaz Noise Adjust 6 for the first time.
This shot of a Beach Staggerwing Replica was very noise on the underside of the aircraft. Not a very good capture but a great candidate for the test.
"I'd stop drinking coffee, but I'm no quitter."
This photo in particular required a lot of effort, patience and attempts. It took about 25 espressos extractions, a couple of burns in the hands of our barista, lighting changes, and hours of work until we get this result, which is present in the newly released institutional catalog of Ipanema Coffees.

Giving Nik Software HDR efex Pro 2 a test run. I'm not big into HDR, but sometimes it's just kinda necessary (in small amounts). Now that I've got an awesome tripod of awesomeness, it's time I learned to embrace it.
Also thinking it might be time to leave my beloved CNX2. I love it. I wish they would upgrade it and fix all the problems with it and maybe give us a few more features, but it's been YEARS since NX2 was released, there's been no news from nik software of any intention of upgrading it, and their newest versions of the plug-ins aren't even compatible with NX..... sigh....
Testing CS6 with the nik software plug-ins now to see if I can make it close enough to NX2 to convince myself to make the switch.

1. Setting EdgeFade=0 in the settings.ini file gets rid of the color vignette.
2. Use Reshade for screenshot capture.
Rather different artwork from my normal: experimenting with PovRay, my favoured ray-tracing software since the late 90s, to construct a scene of various germs and things emerging from a warped background covered in the genome sequence for SARS-Coronavirus-2.
Redbubble, the site I use for fulfilling print and other sales orders, have recently started offering face-masks as a product on which to display one's art: see their announcement at blog.redbubble.com/2020/04/product-news-masks-are-coming-...
My initial reaction was that art is a luxury, so profiting off it would be highly distateful.
However, Redbubble are matching every mask sold by donating one to a charity (Heart to Heart International); a friend pointed out that if masks are to become normalized in society then making them artistic is certainly a way forward.
Accordingly, I have started offering some existing and new photographic work in this form; however, I've set my profit margin to 0 for masks in the process.
